I'm having an issue with running Armory and etotheipi is unable to direct me in determining what is wrong though he thinks not enough memory. It runs fine, according to him, in a 1GB VM. I would like to provide an answer that will explain what is really happening, though my linux skills are limited, and so I ask for your help.

The system is an Ubuntu like 11.04 64bit with 1 GB of RAM.

This is what top says while running Armory and everything is very slow and crashes cgminer.

Code:
Mem:   1021836k total,  1010296k used,    11540k free
Yet all processes total only 60% of memory, what is consuming the other 35%-40% of memory besides processes that would make the system so sluggish?
What tools can I run that will help identify what is happening and can put into a report or log?

Cheers

For Bitcoin to be a true global currency the value of BTC needs always to rise.
If BTC became the global currency & money supply = 100 Trillion then ⊅1.00 BTC = $4,761,904.76.
