Frankly speaking, there is no way to predict without any data or information so basically everything will be purely from wild guess. We have seen microsoft going into it just last month. Paypal next, which they have clearly indicated their interest, but I haven't seen the implementation just yet. If those two corporations become successful when it comes to bitcoin integration and the response from buyers are overwhelming, well from there it will be a chain effect that includes Amazon joining the party. My guess would be by end of this year or early next year

Well If It's dosen't matter "If" then I would say it would be in June 2015 mate I'am saying that they are giving it a shot on Twitch.tv since they added it there (and Amazon bought twitch) maybe they are considering adding it to Amazon but just seeing how Popular it is by using it on Twitch first , that's what I think

I think it would be more like the result of businesses that tend to do business with other businesses accepting bitcoin. I do agree that this will likely result in the price of bitcoin to increase as well as the overall chances of bitcoin succeeding

I switched to Amazon from eBay when I began to detest PayPal. So I hope they will take BTC soon. They are a supercompany, and they are reliable, I think they will wait until they see bitcoin as reliable (for themselves) before the adopt it.

My guesstimate is August. Middle of the summer in the US.

After 2015. I don't think it will be done this year. In terms of mass-adoption, Bitcoin still is in its infancy and more of an experiment. Amazon puts their effort in being easy to use and understand. As of now they don't care that much about Bitcoin, I believe. Although I guess they are watching it in to at least some amount!

What merchants are you talking about?
Most big merchants which accept bitcoin, actually sell it instantly, so they don't really get hit by the drops in prices.
