How do I delete my account??   I have tried to do it myself but it looks like an admin can only do it...

I have tried to send Admin a message but they have disabled personal messages.

The unique possibility is : delete all your posts and change the password in one with random letters , then logout and don't open anymore this forum.

Always there is kind of people who try to make some one disbelieve\hidden aims or perhaps they are nothing to do in this life expect joking .i like this idea + i promote him also to forget about BTC along with this forum.

If you wanted to delete your account just don't open it or yeah as it is said above change your password to random one and don't open it again. And think you deleted your account

1) Change the email on the account to a random one that you do not have control over
2) Change the security question answers to some random text
3) Change the password to some random text

Your account is now deleted!

At the end he can only lost the access of his account , but it will  stay in the database (maybe theymos can delete it from the DB).

I assume that theymos isn't deleting Newbie account out of database, for which purpose? Just ignore guys like the OP...

If there was a way to delete accounts the mods would never divulge. Why? Imagine some angry/crazy/sick guy has some huge grudge against btc/the btc community/the mods, or maybe just an individual here... he goes to fivver or hackerforum next time there is a security breach, buys all the passwords, deletes all the accounts. not fatal (i personally will just make a new account) but will cause chaos and headaches all around.

if you don't want to be here, just leave and don't come back. if there is sensitive info in your account or posts, manually delete everything, sign out, and sayanora!

As redsn0w & others already said, Your only way is: 1) to delete all your posts; 2) change the password in one with random letters; 3) logout and don't came back anymore.

Unless you ask the admin I don't think there is any way for you to delete your account. You could however delete all your posts and change your pass...

I don't think that wasting his/her and theymos time to ask for account deletion make any sense. No forum will ever delete an user account due to accountability issues. Newbies shall live with this hard reality of life!

+1. I support your position. It may helps newbies & other members to understand that their accounts cannot be deleted; but, they only can lose access to them.

This doesn't need to be stickied. It's rare that people ask about account deletion, but it could be added to the FAQ or one of the existing stickies, but again, not really a massive issue that pops up.
