I'm fairly new to the BTC scene, but have been lurking around the edges for a fair while.

I generated a new account at :
https://bitzino.com/blackjack
and it gave me a deposit address to use ( 1FVRij1uYQ4E823kwGV55QZQft9QVTJV23 ) but for some reason I cant send to it.
If I try I get the following:

With a mate I have checked it by sending coin to that address via MtGox and it worked.
and the owner of the site said:

Thanks for reaching out! I just reconfirmed your deposit address with the `validateaddress` bitcoin command, and it said your address is indeed valid.

I'm glad you got it working with mtgox, but I'm curious what the deal is with blockchain.info! If you find anything out, please do let us know!

Regards,
Gabriel
bitZino Support Team

I've flicked an email to blockchain.info telling them but no response yet.

Any idea's?

interesting.. I just generated a deposit address for bitcoingamer.com and Blockchain.info is telling me that is an invalid address as well..

At a guess I'd say BC is broken.

Sometimes when you copy an address, it copies a space at the end as well.

Make sure there are no spaces in the address field.

yeah I always double check that, that's not it.
I've found another deposit address that doesn't work from BlockChain.info, StrikeSapphire.com

Don't have my YubiKey to test it, but I reckon BC.info is broken again.

I had a customer report the same issue last night.  I could find nothing unique or strange about the rejected address.  Also puzzling blockchain.info saw the address as valid (zero value) but the wallet saw it as invalid.  It is verified valid and using satoshi client worked fine.

I can confirm there was a bug related to address validation, it should have been fixed earlier today. Please clear your browsers cache and refresh to page.

If it still doesn't work a workaround for now is to add the address to your address book then choose the label form the autocomplete dropdown.

Hm. Anyone still having deposit problems with StrikeSapphire? We're not seeing anything unusual like unconfirmed transactions on our end.
