How long does it take to unpack a torrent at the moment?
Does it depend on our dl speed or yours?
Or the seeds?
The primary bottleneck will be your download speed however I've had one user report achieving 10MB/s down Second is the quantity and quality of the seeds since they will impact how lo g it takes for us to get the files to zip up and send your way.

This is really cool.
Haven't seen something like this before.
https://put.io has been around for ages. Yes, but put.io is a monthly subscription seedbox/dropbox/cloud solution whereas the goal here is for the casual user who wants to download the odd torrent here or there and cant justify a monthly subscription.

Well put.io was free for quite a while, and I'm sure you're aware in order to keep this project running money does have to come from somewhere, bandwidth and data storage cost money and the more users you'll get the more expenses you'll have, so eventually I believe you would need to either run ads or charge for subscriptions, or fund it from your own pocket and suffer the loses. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to poop on your thread, in fact I commending you for running this kind of service.

Yes of course it will be monetized shortly, it's only free while I'm working on it, next step is running on testnet coins. However the service will not be subscription based but rather mor ealong the lines of bitfetch.com You add a torrent We download the files You pay 0.001 BTC for every GB (final price not decided yet) You're ready to download a zip file In this way you only pay for what you use rather than a subscription.

https://put.io has been around for ages. I doubt that allows to be paid by bitcoins either. You don't want the feds to be tailing your illegal downloads.

Requested Torrent: Browsing logs? I've sent funds to 1K76fahbECFR26wWevdogLb2FpuhezAnEN but my download quota stays the same (after 30 confirmations)

Which method do you think would be better: Continue with a pooled quota with donations or individual pay per download approach?
Right now there is one common quota shared by all and a single donation address which adds to the pool.
Edit: added a poll.

Can you PM me either the /status or /fetch link? Also what did the filename end up being? It should be a string of random characters with .zip at the end

+1.What's the maximum speed we can get downloading? Is there a limit? Thanks! There is no per user throttling so it will max out at the port speed of 100mb/s. Best case scenario, you are only one connected, etc.
