I've got paypal, alertpay. But I'm reading up on these chargebacks and a little concerned. Liberty Reserve is available to canadians but then I have to go thru the hassle of transferring it to my alertpay/paypal account and pay fees at all stages of moving the money around. Dwolla isn't available in Canada yet?

So I'm thinking I can just manually use alertpay, as the safest way - but maybe someone knows of a better way ?

Thanks!
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Hmm, dunno if I would trust AlertPay that much either. What are their refund policies?

Stay tuned as I'm working on a trading site which will allow you to deposit/withdraw money into your trading account directly from/to your Canadian bank account.

Yep, or "gift" ...I use that all the time to transfer money from my personal to my "premier" paypal account.

Can I ask what PPCAD is? I searched the forums, couldn't find any other mention.

Ah ok. I was thinking it was a way to get BTC for CAD from a website or something. Do you know of any automated way to convert from BTC to CAD?

Is it USD at an US bank? Afaik only HSBC does this. Though maybe the RBC offering is too since they do have US operations.

To the parent, depending where you are in Canada, it may make sense to travel to the states and set up an account down there. If you have enough ID to enter the US, you can open a bank account.
