Probably because they supported SOPA/PIPA, but I'm not sure on that.

Because they can and will hold your domains hostage without recourse for any reason under the sun, as well as revealing your personal info on a privacy protected domain without a court order (just takes a little social engineering or a fake DMCA claim).

I use and love name.com for my needs. One of the unique features that they offer is the ability to set IPv6 glue with no need to email support or jump through hoops.

Or, you could try Zhou Tong's nameterrific.com site, which uses Amazon Route 53 for the DNS backend.

A trustable BTC domain service where i could transfer my domains would work better for me if not perfect.

Once I register them you can move them wherever you like. You will have full access over the registrar account.

I need to renew some domains (which could effectively mean I transfer them to a BTC provider so I wont have to worry about Conversions any more) or i need a go daddy giftcard, I don't need to purchase any domains.

I was going to offer but it seems they are a pain to purchase them now. http://support.godaddy.com/groups/go-daddy-customers/forum/topic/godaddy-gift-card-1/

I'm trying out a BTC accepting domain service. I'll see how they are instead of using go daddy
