Ive decided to start selling a few domain names which have 1 year registration to those who want it as i know it can be a pain for some people to pay $10-$15 for a years registration and this gives you an opportunity to pay in BTCitcoins!

.5 BTC Domain Name Suffixes:
  • .com
  • .org
  • .net
  • .biz
  • .info
  • .name

Please make sure that the domain is available before requesting.

If you are at all interested, send me a pm or post here and i will get right on it!

Note: These may need up to 24 hours to be fully registered.

Sounds interesting! Maybe I write you a pm today or tomorrow.
Where do you register these domains? Is it possible to change the nameserver?
Edit: What do you need for personal information to register a domain?
Is something like "privacy protection" possible?

I've replied to your pm, but for anyone else to see, ill answer here as well.

I do not need any personal information from you, you will recieve full access to changing the DNS, and anything else you can need that is standardly offered. Privacy protection can be purchased for $1 at any time once you have the login details.Additionally I will refer you to some free hosting if you wish.

That doesn't sound good.
Anyone who registers a domain with you can see the registar in the WHOIS information, so to me it seems like there's something about the registar you don't want others to know. Is it GoDaddy?

It is not, i have found a niche and am offering services using that niche. what is so hard to understand about the fact that i would rather make a profit off of it (minuscule as it may be) than give it away?

Edit: honestly i dont mind the fact that it can be seen, but only after you have purchased it in any case.

Those who believe in bitcoin may still buy from you if your premium is low enough.
Besides, like I said, this information will be publicly available after your first customer (if they chose to divulge the registered domain).

I seem to remember reddit having Network Solutions $2.99 domain ads running periodically...

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

If you find somewhere else you can get one cheaper I would suggest doing so.

It wasn't a slam, I just thought it might be a good idea to act as a Bitcoin middleman for NS since the price is almost the same.

Oh I know it wasn't a slam, I'm literally saying if anyone can find a cheaper price, go for it. I'm trying to help out by offering low prices but if there's lower, go for it 100%

The registries have been doing deals lately with some registrars to provide them for under cost price domains for the first year only (its something like $1 + ICANN fee, but thats to the registrars). They will renew at the normal price next year (+ the price increase every couple months by the registries).

Interesting to know, I'm getting them cheaper than that though  Tongue

Interesting. Maybe it's because there are very few good domain names left; you pretty much have to come up with something out of thin air and register the mark.

Yeah at this point domains have to be fairly unique.
