There is no reason for it since I havent been involved with any scams or shady activity.

People can write if they need a free escrow im available from now and just about 24/7 this weekend.

Offering escrow with no good reason to usually seems pretty shady. Don't take it personally as all new escrows are scrutinised here and so they should be. You're offering to hold on to others money for free and this can easily be taken advantage of. People use escrows because they're trusted to be able to hold funds. Currently you are not so it defeats the purpose and makes others skeptical of you regardless of your intentions.

Bro spend some time here, trade and do other stuff make friends, get a hooker, beat up a scammer that didnt pay someone back. Build the trust let people know you first forget escrow lol.

Exactly. This is a valid question everyone should ask. I don't think we need more random escrows but more very trusted ones never hurt. Though I'm sure many people who offer escrow services like this have nothing but good intentions there's also likely a bigger percent who do it with the intent to scam at some point because what better way to get ahold of large amounts of other people's money relatively easy?

You really don't get much in tips for this type of service and if you're doing it for that you're getting into the wrong business and for the wrong reasons.

Right? I was asked to escrow a few times, declined it because it takes too much communication, patience, and formality. Although I wouldn't mind doing it for some people. Just not newbs, because they tend to be flakes, which I've experienced many times.

This isn't relevant. Escrow is done from trust, not how much you have in your wallet to cover as insurance. If you did your job correctly, then you shouldn't be liable.

I don't mind escrowing occasional deals or money for sig campaigns but don't really have an interest in being a regular escrow currently as it is far too time consuming and looks to be a largely thankless task. I bet more often than not people will be too cheap to send a tip or even say thanks and the latter is what would bother me the most.

This isn't relevant. Escrow is done from trust, not how much you have in your wallet to cover as insurance. If you did your job correctly, then you shouldn't be liable.

Inexperienced escrows are also more likely to fuck up but if they do they will likely be liable for returning the funds. You may have 0.3 in your wallet but is that an amount you would be ok with losing if something goes wrong? These are all things you should be taking into consideration.

I agree, escrowing isn't as easy as it seems. You need to be professional and focussed, and know a lot of rules.
