Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

There are desktop wallets like Parity and Jaxx you can use and there's also a browser wallet, just follow the steps on www.myetherwallet.com or google Jaxx or Parity and get a wallet from there. Jaxx would probably be the best option in case you're looking for a desktop wallet. Parity has had some incidents in the past.

Becarefull with phising links in regards to myetherwallet

Hello reikenboats821,

There are several options for you to choose from to get your hands on an Ethereum address. You will have to choose a wallet that fits your needs, and that wallet will be
able to provide you with an address. The Mist wallet is a desktop client you can use, and is available for download here.
Another option would be to create a wallet on a platform like blockchain.com, which also can provide you with an Ethereum address.

If you are planning on storing and holding coins of a significant amount, we suggest you look into hardware wallets like the Ledger.

With kind regards,
The Anycoin Direct team

I'd suggest that to skip myetherwallet or mycrypto entirely and a) buy a hardwarewallet, like metioned above or b) have a look at MetaMask. Using myetherwallet is just too risky for someone who is new to the space because there are scamming sites all over the place.

There are a lot of guides about MetaMask:
https://cryptospaceguides.com/step-by-step-guide-to-metamask/ or
https://blockonomi.com/metamask-guide/

Or simply watch their video:

My goodness. If you can't even use Google to look for a decent ethereum wallet, forget storing crypto.
