SPECS

NXT BASED
Total Supply: 84 000 000 ELEMS
Minimum Difficulty: 10
Maximum Dificulty: 150
Minting Algorithm: Scrypt
No IPO
No Premine

DESCRIPTION

Elements (ELEMS) is the first MS coin using Scrypt Algorithm and the first MS coin that people start minting. ELEMS had no initial supply (pre-mining). We believe in fair distribution. At the moment there is no GPU miner. Everyone can use his computer to mint ELEMS. We want to build a great community and add value to our coin.

NO PREMINE! NO INITIAL SUPPLY! NO IPO! FAIR DISTRIBUTION AGAIN!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

it can't be mined in the way Litecoin, Bitcoin, etc. is mined. (different coding)

But yes it can be mined (or minted as the term with NXT) using the mint.bat miner that comes with the NXT client.

In essence, in the same sense that Bitcoin and its  alts can be mined. NXT MS Currencies can be minted.

Where is the source?

The Monetary System (MS) allows users to launch new currencies, securing them with the Nxt blockchain using the second-generation cryptocurrency’s established network, rather than requiring that developers create a coin from scratch and bootstrap it with its own network.

It it the source code of NXT: https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/src

I don't understand NXT, this coin can be mined by miner or not? Simple question.

Yes, if the issuer makes the coin mineable, it can be.

The Nxt Monetary System allows a different types of coin, depending on what use they have.

Thanks. The miner opens and closes quickly. I changed everything to the correct format in the config file...

    Open your mint.bat file and you will see this:

Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    java.exe -cp classes;lib\*;conf nxt.mint.MintWorker

    change it to this and run it again:

Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    java.exe -cp classes;lib\*;conf nxt.mint.MintWorker
    pause

If something is wrong the console window closes automatically. By adding a "pause" stays open. Can you please copy paste here the logs so we can find the error?
