EDIT: Apparently I had a space in before my passphase. Thats fixed but the next error says ELEMS isn't a valid currency.

Thanks. The miner opens and closes quickly. I changed everything to the correct format in the config file...

    Open your mint.bat file and you will see this:

If something is wrong the console window closes automatically. By adding a "pause" stays open. Can you please copy paste here the logs so we can find the error?

Minting a PoW MS currency requires a transaction to be placed on the Nxt blockchain.  You will need to fund your account with NXT as a mint transaction requires a 1 NXT fee.  The good news is that you can mint a PoW MS currency by multiple units at a time rather than as a single unit of currency -- but this will increase the PoW difficulty of the minting operation for you.

Nxt is a POS based currency. After 1440 confirmation you will be able to forge a block and generate coins. Forging doesn't affect minting or the reverse.

I would suggest something (if you have a good enough CPU)

if you don't mind waiting a little longer per ELEMS

you can change

nxt.mint.unitsPerMint=1

where the unitsPerMint is higher than 1NXT=1ELEMS (because of the minting fee)

It might take an additional hour or so to find something but you will save 1NXT every time you find something.

So for example

Code:

nxt.mint.unitsPerMint=2

means I will end up spending 1NXT=2ELEMS and so on.

You can do this with any of the MS Currencies.
