Mentalities changes . Some people all they care about is being rich , and they should know that bitcoin is a long term investement ,so they won't become millionaires between one night & another .
for some people it just dosen't worth it to sell at such price since they bought it very very cheap (early adopters) and people who are just selling their bitcoin are the one who bought BTC while it was 350-600$ let's say & they are afraid that it will never go up again

I personally don't have enough bitcoin to care about the price changes (either it falls or goes up) .  I will stick to BTC forever tho Grin

It doesn't matter whether its bitcoin or and fiat currency.

Movement up or down creates opportunities to hedge your positions.

Because I'm not a whining 16 year old that spent the last of his beer money buying Bitcoin. I'm an adult that can afford to invest in risky new technology with a possible large future payoff. I'd use Bitcoin if it never did anything but piss off some elected official that's worried about his future potential to steal from people. To me that's a payoff.

Articles collected on that site are enough. Bitcoin being constantly declared dead for five years, and yet it is still here.

I thought the purpose of that website was to be sarcastic about the “death of Bitcoin”. Notice the first “death”. It was in 2011.

The reason I have to continue using Bitcoin (not just holding it) is because it's mathematically secure, and nothing can change that.

An economy based on endless growth is unsustainable.

This. When I got started with Bitcoin, 1 BTC was less than 10 cents. I remember three major crashes, first to 2 EUR, then 100 EUR, then 400 EUR, so I'm kind of looking forward to the next crash. If you cannot think long term and/or see the big picture, then better stay out of any kind of investment.

To paraphrase Mr. H. J. Simpson: Coin goes up, coin goes down. Coin goes up, coin goes down. Hehehehehehehehehe.

The financial system is still very shaky. A catalyst like bank bail-ins in any major country would make the average person realise their money is not safe in a bank and a decentralized alternative is better.  Bitcoin was born from a financial crisis and it will benefit from the next one.

I don't have a reasons to hold my bitcoins but definitely have reasons to use them Wink
The recent price drop definitely impacted a lot of bitcoin holders, and I still am unsure if I want to sell my entire stack or keep it for now .
I really don't see it going much lower specially when mining is not profitable anymore.

Bitcoin must be regarded as a long-term investment instrument and not a currency right now if you ask me because the fluctuations are too great.

I think that's the problem, actually. When people start treating it as an actual currency, the fluctuations will begin to lower.
