IMO, You will be back, i have seen many threads like this before.
If you are unwell and need to move on then all the best for you and family.

Are you still going to hold on to a few coins, or selling up and never looking back?

All people saying they will leave Bitcoin are surely keeping an eye on the price quite regularly.

If the price shows signs of recovery to older price levels these people will come back.

Some people are either ignorant or just jerks..

I think you missed my post, he did get back, just to say this:

Hey there everyone,
This is my alt account just because I wish not to disclose my real identity.
I've been a part of BTC community for the past 4 years.
It has been a long and wonderful ride for me and for everyone, and I might not be wrong in saying that all the credit goes to Mr/Mrs Satoshi.
Everything was fine but in thee month of June 2013 I was diagnosed with cancer and since then I became very inactive on the community but I tried to be as active as the doctors would allow me to.
Thanks to BTCs, I was able to pay my medical bills with certain efficiency.
Last week I was pronounced to be in my terminal stages and now the time has come for me to leave this world. All my remaining BTCs, though very less, will be given to my family for their constant support and encouragement since they need the money a lot.
Boy oh boy it will be tough to explain them BTC hahahaha.
Let me be clear that I don't believe in afterlife, so sorry I won't be able to help increase the value of BTCs  hahahahaha.
Thanks for making it a joyful ride for me.
For my last wish, if Mr/Mrs Satoshi you are reading this, I really wish if you could just sign a message from one of your original wallets. Though this is like wishing to get a new beginning at life, this is my wallet if you do so, 1ErXgFDyh11VTtaKaVDEyehWgePhtCMku2. I would really appreciate the deed.
So ya, this is probably the last thing I will ever write.
Regards
Love you all xoxoxo

All these "goodbye" posters are nothing but guys that sold their coins and are scared that while they are away the price goes up again, so they stay around spreading FUD.

The OP has been around forever and has clearly stated that he's dying. There is a world beyond the wiggly lines where actual things happen to people.

His alleged alt account was quoted a few posts up where he said he was diagnosed w/ cancer and that it was terminal.  Sad That's the most ominous and eerie thing I think I've ever read.

These were nice years, but unfortunately all things come to an end. It is time to say "Goodbye". I still think bitcoin is a brilliant invention which brings immense power to the masses but the human element was more agile and found ways to almost destroy it. It's wounded, but not by a security flaw, not by a design flaw, just by misuse and abuse. Nobody can tell what will happen in the future but one thing is certain: nothing goes up indefinitely and all markets are cyclic.

Bitcoin was a chance to learn on economics, markets, psychology and technology. A great ROI. I would recommend anyone here to buy whatever amount one can loose in  the next 5 minutes and put it aside until 2017-01-17, along with the same amount in USD. I am very curious which will have more value then.

Good bye.

You recommand something just because you are curious ? LOL

Why do you say Goodbye if you think Bitcoin is going to rise ? Where are you leaving ?

When 4 pages is tl;dr you really ought to rethink your use of forums Roll Eyes

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

By 2017-01-17 we'll be past ATH. I wonder if OP will be back to celebrate or he meant to say a definitive goodbye regardless Bitcoin's future.

Wobber, it would be much likely to get your wish granted if you post it with your main account.
Otherwise people (and Satoshi), will for sure doubt it.

Hope you're as well as you can be now, stay strong.
