hey, I just wanna ask to you all. Do you think ponzi affect the price of bitcoin??
Everything is connected. Of course bitcoin ponzis affect the price, but only marginally.
Just like dollar ponzis affect the price of a dollar.

I would not really worry about it, unless you think bitcoin is a ponzi itself (then there is something seriously wrong with you Wink )

2k bitcoin won't enough to affect bitcoin price
But, if we talking about huge ponzi like PBMining, maybe it can affect bitcoin price

2k bitcoin will affect bitcoin price, if it be dumped is same time or short period of time...

Guess not much.

I doubt much people fall for the Ponzi scams and there are so much worse things to harm BTC reputation.

I think every option to harm bitcoin should be utilized to the max.

Every transaction make a different. Including ponzi. However, I dont think the 'ponzi hype 2015' affect Bitcoin much.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

I think, maybe.

Do you know CryptoDouble, the ponzi website start all of this suck trend? They have run away with their investor money, right? They gain a lot. If they sell all of their Bitcoin to convert to their local currency, it's will affect the Bitcoin price. It's same for another ponzis.

Just my opinion Kiss

But the Bitcoin protocol itself is flawless, if you get scammed its people's fault just like it is if you get scammed with fiat.

Any idea how much these ponzis profit?

First I thought not much because people would not dumb to fall for them, but bet against the dumbness of people in general a bad bet

Depends on the number of people that fall for it and the money they throw at them .
Weekly ponzi earned around 50-60 BTC on commision....others earn depending on the amount.

But I don't think that throwing anything out of your pockets in any Ponzis may harm the reputation of Bitcoins... In other words, what has Ponzis to do with Bitcoin's rep? As you yourself said, 50 BTC in commission won't harm much or can't even dump it to any lows as these earnings are nothing compared to the traded coins at Exchanges... Also, these admins, however, are turning a bit trustworthy to be invested in, as many are not just taking fees only, but also contributing those fees, either to show that they are trustworthy or maybe they are genuine, but yes, they are paying...

there are the scam ponzis that claim to be cloud mining of investment sites that make sometimes some 100's in profit. I think I don't need to tell names.

Their profit might be bigger, but I think still not enough to hurt the prices and they are more rare than the ones we find in the gambling section

They are not always huge amounts that these schemes get away with . So its safe to say, that they won't be able to do serious damage, but they do definitely spoil the image of bitcoins when they end as scams.

We need to kickstart a time machine with Bitcoin to find Carlo Pietro Giovanni Guglielmo Tebaldo Ponzi, bring him back to the future and ask him what does he think of Bitcoin. Then and only then, we will be able to find out if Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme or not.

We already have our best cryptologists trying to figure out what the duck you said.

In the title you wrote "Ponzi" in upper case so you could mean Charles Ponzie. But in the thead itself you wrote it in lower case.
