Thoughts?  While I'm sure that have a leaking pencil as the logo for a coin called "PEN" inspires confidence in the masses, I thought a change in brand couldn't hurt us that much.

No.  There isn't anything official happening.  So, the dev and the community may not want to change anything.  Just something I through together over my lunch break to get a conversation started.   I think that this coin has a lot of potential--but the first thought I had was "Why is the logo a leaky pencil?  That doesn't make much sense for a coin called PEN."

was this coin an ICO or not? I'm not understanding, in the ANN post, there's no escrow or ICO investment page, but some of the first comment talk about ICO.

The price is fluctuating up and down, but still its hanging in pretty well.  I would say this however the binary options feature looks really interesting, but it's vital when its released it works properly.  Better delay and get it right, than rush it out the door not working properly. That will tank the price quicker than delays.  Maybe a quick demo video and a few reminders on twitter etc about the coins goals wouldn't do any harm though.

Agreed 100% !!! To anyone from the outside looking in right now, it just looks as if nothing is going on and he even took the info off the ANN about it being an ICO which seems strange to me? Wouldn't you want people to know that there was trust in your coin to invest in it?

I agree with your points, it would be better if there was more buzz and chatter.  As for ICO info missing from ANN, doesn't seem that strange to me, it is over after all and buy in price was very reasonable and still holds up well against current Bittrex price although buywall is a lot thinner now(anyone in ICO had good chance to make good profit).

I can't speak for Dev, but I would say the features he is working to setup are complex and time consuming.  He may want to consider taking on someone to look after the promotion side of things to keep PEN fresh in peoples minds.  I really think idea is cool and would stand out against other coins which are mostly just silly memes with copy and paste features thats why I've invested a good deal of BTC in it.

I notice  in the passed week the price is fluctuating because there are bots on Bittrix but the good thing is its keeping about the same %. People with coins are not dumping all there coins so the buy wall is not dropping. That mean is the people with coins want to see PEN grow.

I bought a lot around 2000 satoshis yesterday and have kept almost all of it off exchange, community controls the price of any coin once the mine and dump crowd are gone.  Patience is key and let features do the rest when they arrive.

I'm sick of mine and dump coins. Was debating this on a scrypt mining pool the other day.  Guys spending ridiculous amounts of money on hardware mining the crap out of a new coin and dumping it before there is even time to get features off the ground and their impatience often means they will never see ROI.  I like POS coins and I think PEN has real potential.

Dev - I know you are busy with the binary options stuff, but would be really great if you could take 2 mins to post here regularly. 

We all need to stimulate discussions around moving forward and not just sit around waiting for the binary options release.  I'd suggest we need to start thinking building the foundations as a community - spreading the word, multipool etc
