Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Some information if these malware infection attempts are affecting other systems beyond Windows, like Mac or Linux?

Yes, unfortunately, but not that much as Windows. However, one should be careful and consider all the security risks whatever OS they have.

I try and be careful but there seems to be so many different ways to get hacked🤓 I was wondering if it was possible with the public addresses we give out for the bounty Campaigns? That’s scary because you use it everywhere. I think I’ve used it more than my real account information👈🏼

Many recommend checking for viruses your computer once a week at least. And it is better that he in the auto-mode himself did the checks daily!

Thank you very much for your precious info; I'm really stunned, as I never thought there were so many ways to be scammed Sad

Your post made me to think in a paranoid way, and I just wondered if we can really trust antimalware softwares: how can we be sure that THEY don't put something malicious, or don't scan for private keys?

It seems that we are really in an electronic far west, and probably the next big battle will be in the field of security.

When you register any purse in my opinion you are clearly warned that you can become deceived and say that you can become part of the plan of any fraudster.

Time goes by, scammers do not stand still, to the listed dangers I would add phishing sites,
so I always go to the sites I need, exchanges and wallets only through bookmarks or from saved links.

Cybercriminals are more cunning now and crypto mining malware is increasing in number, type, and attacks. Always check the links you click and software you install for new cryptos. Follow security experts or companies for breaking news on malware attacks before giving out your information or installing.

Thanks for this thread because is very helpful for such new users like me. I just started my crypto journey on this forum and is good to know where to watch out for troubles. I am really afraid of viruses and scams in the crypto world. This still is number one issue lack of trust.

As much as we like freebies we should be careful of the application we install on our systems expecially hack copy of an application because most of the hacker want valuable information back from us which will give to them not knowing.

Is it likely to face the same issues with an Apple device?
In the end you have to be careful in everything that you do. The whole crypto market is like the Wild West... it attracts lots of harmful individuals.
