how do i know which ones are legit. like how do i know they don't have software where inside user's can see my cards.

i play right now on betcoin, and nitrogen because they have reputable sports books that make a ton of money and wouldn't want to risk that over a poker scandal.

obviously sealswithclubs is fine. enough said there.

but then all these new ones coming up. how can i i know if it's safe to deposit my btc in into them?

Hello geoffreyqp!
You can try skyhighpoker.co.uk without any deposits atm.
The only problem is that there are not many players so you cannot win much Smiley
Good luck!

You cant.

Thats why i am staying away from BTC-poker. Even if the site itself is legit (has enough reputation that you can most likely exclude the existance of superusers) - it still very possible for them to have a weak security. In my opion, any site that is offereing poker for now is simply too small. The risk/reward ratio is not there... yet.

Yes, the players will be weaker and stuff - but personally i think you are being overconfident on how "site x woudnt risk it" and "x is obviosly fine"

And if you are even considering playing poker on the new and lesser sites you might just as well invest in some ponzi, way less risk.

risk/reward ratio likely depends on the stakes you play, and your skill level.

As far as I know , there's a site that is legit Sealswithclubs or something like that I mean there's a trhead in here has very good rep.
Then the risk there worth it, if there's any chance that you will be beated by superusers, you will have the proff of it.
You can demand that company...

I'm pretty sure (Because I read a lot on 2+2 forums) there's a lot of people EV+ playing there.

Anyway there's always the chance that someone is making a huge scam like everything involded with btc lately.

I'd rather play on Pokerstars  there's a lot of fishes on low/mid stakes sng's.

Already was implying that a skill level gives you the significant edge. Point being that playing (espessialy medium stakes and higher) and feeling "safe" is a little bit naive (At this stage of BTC-poker evolution)

I cannot say anything about our site because I don't want to advertise it.
The best you can do is to wait and read the threads on this forum  Smiley
We are using a poker mavens server so I guess it the rng is ok.

I think its risky to play cash games on these new sites. I find tournament poker to be good on most of these new sites.

I am not sure, but its just from experience,  I feel this way . I might be wrong though. Maybe people who write code can elaborate on what they think

Just wait till an established offline casino comes out with an e-version.
Until then, you are just taking shots in the dark. Smiley

I think most of them claim to be one, but aren't . I know someone who actually happens to own a casino, and had got an online license for running it.
Would it be a good idea to ask them to launch a casino for bitcoin use ?

if you trust sealswithclubs then youre already getting screwed. theres more collusion on there than anything. least there was when i played there. plus cashouts there are anywhere from 3 hours to 24 hours.

far as any other "new" poker site as long as you can withdraw and deposit without waiting for more than 1 confirmation theres not much harm in trying them out. just dont go nuts putting 100 btc on them. play small stakes and have some fun

if you trust sealswithclubs then youre already getting screwed. theres more collusion on there than anything.

please post hand histories to prove this.

SwC has and always will vigilantly bust collusion.

All reports are taking seriously in addition to automated tools looking for cheating.  The giant SwC thread in this forum, by far the most viewed thread here, is a great place to go public with collusion.  If it turns out to be real, you can be assured we take action.

I actually have a question for people who have some experience using the Maven's software.
Does it allow you to modify the software, to be able to see the hands or allow a modification in the software to do so ?
I trust seals, but not a lot of other sites which go about using the software, and its best to know if its possible.

Your concerns are valid and I don't think there is a way to be sure, you pretty much have to trust the website and don't play if you don't.

i stick to the old one's until the new one's build a rep. Play freerolls or low Bi tourneys there...but I wont advice you to put in high amount of cash.

You can't. I'd say stick to the well known, proven good sites and wait a bit for feedback about these new sites.

It is the same for all other type of sites.
You can't easily tell if a new dice site or a new casino or a new exchange is legit or not. You shouldn't deposit serious money in it until they are established and you have enough trust in it.
