Dam that sucks, i assume you are referring to not knowing about the hack? Dont know what you can do they did say anyone sending to old wallets will lose funds. Its a pain having to check the recent exchange history before sending coin, i normally skim the forums before i send.

where any link? ? https://www.bitstamp.net/news/https://www.bitstamp.net/article/relaunch-faq/Can I deposit bitcoin? Customers can deposit bitcoins into the newly issued deposit addresses - issued from January 9th 2015. Customers should NOT deposit into old addresses issued prior to January 9th, 2015 as those deposits can not be honored. According to them, they have notified all customers via email but I didn't received any email and I guess you didn't received it as well. Sorry for your loss mate.

How I can take back my 1.5 btc from bitstamp? ?. You didn't send the 1.5BTC to bitstamp. A hacker got the private keys for the deposit addresses, and presumably stole the funds once you sent it to the address. I personally think bitstamp is somewhat responsible even though they put out a warning. There needs to be a mechanism to revoke compromised bitcoin addresses IMO. There isn't much you can do unless the hacker happens to send you back the 1.5BTC.

I also think they should send something, but one problem is the hacker could send money to himself and then go to bitstamp and ask for it back.

you need to read up on reddit because most people were aware of the situation that day, when they got hacked and lost 19,000 btc.

What bitstamp needs to do is find all possible ways to alert customers to not use old address. Simple notification on the website is not enough, because a lot of people don't actually read these. It would help if they block you from logging in until you checkmark a box to confirm you read the alert before allowing you to log in.
