I received a code from Mt. Gox for a free Yubikey (2-factor authentication device). It's also useable at blockchain.info. I have no need of it, however, so I'd rather give it to someone that can put it to use. I've chosen a number between 0 and 100. The person that has the closest guess wins the code. Entries end Wednesday, 18 July at 11:59:59 EST (19 July at 3:59:59 GMT). --Winter

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable. I never believe them. If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins. I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion. Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice. Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

Hello,
Please be advised that the Mt.Gox Yubikey is usable only with Mt.Gox accounts and not with blockchain.info or other websites.

Yes, it's usable at both sites: https://blockchain.info/wallet/yubikey

Hi, thanks for the reply. The link I gave to blockchain.info said it could be used there. I assume they wouldn't put it there if it's not possible, but I've not personally tried it. I would be interested to find out the answer though. =)

I would be interested to find out the answer though. =) It's working. Take a look at blockchain.info's support thread and you'll see people questioning him why it works. See this thread too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?;topic=64300.0
