Bitcoin users are old enough to not fear something new and young enough not to be afraid. 38

make a poll.

Most people would not like to give away ages to everyone

I propose a poll with ranges.
Anyway I'm 15-25 if you're curious.  Smiley
Wonder if it would be better to be moved to off-topic? The title is after all about age of bitcoin users not about bitcoin.  Lips sealed

This thread is as invasive as the ones asking how many bitcoins you own.
is there such threads ?

There have been many over the past few years.

Here's just one as a sample:

Just seeing how many whales we have on the forums. I can't see who votes what, so no reason to hide Wink

I guess there will be only a few in that age bracket.
I expect the average age of bitcoin users to be ~25.

I suggest you make a poll for a question like this, it would be tough to get most people to give an answer unless they somewhat feel anonymous.

I second this. A poll would be much more appropriate.

I see a lot of people over 30 here. This forums average is older than most of other forums.

My guess as to why, is because many will look at Bitcoin and what it surrounds as for "mature" minds. A lot of (no offence to OP) 15 year olds minds are not so focused on charts, graphs and trends then they are school, pot and sex.

Maybe I am just small minded, but that would have been my thoughts when I was 15. Wink

It's true, granted I started learning technical analysis back when I was 13, many kids that age just aren't that interested in their future.

IIRC a few people have made surveys that indicated 30 is around the average age. So fairly young to be dabbling in financial 'products' but older compared to the typical demographic of popular sites/forums which tend to have a userbase focussed more in the teens to early 20s (i.e. before real life kicks in).

I'm 32. I think the whole idea of cryptocoins get the attentions of the 30's. The younger aren't that busy with this kind of economic. Some will but not the most.
