How is activity calculated??

But in simple words i think it means 14 activity in 14 days
But let us suppose a person stays offline for 2-3 months but his post count is more , so will his Activity rise even if he doesn't come online or post [I know that's completely irrelevant since it depends on time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration) but just clearing things..
Also what if suppose a person have 500 activity and 500 posts and he hasn't posted since a year
How will activity work then ?
Am asking this because i see someone's (who was idle for long time ) activity rise more than 14 within a day after his posts.[Don't ask who]

Yes It does mean what you just said 14 Activity in 14 days , if you post 14 times in one day your activity will rise by 14 but the rest of the days it won't . until the 2 new weeks come again . If a user didn't came online then the Activity won't change at all .
Activity cannot be more then posts in any case , if a post was deleted your Activity decrease with it .

as I said above Activity don't get calculated if you are offline .

if you make a newbie account and make 30 posts then your activity will 14 and then you don't come online for 1 month and later when you login and make another post after 1 month your activity will increase by 14(total 28)
activity is calculated using your posts made in any 14days timeframe,you get 14 activity for this but if you are online always but don't make posts then activity don't increase

if you post 50 post a day your activity will be 14
 
if you came after 28 days your activity will be 28

Yes, your activity will be updated within 1 hour of your post.

No, just have a look back at theymos' formula:
There are two numbers that come into this
- total number of posts (activity will never be higher than that)
- number of two-week intervals in which you posted multiplied by 14

So if you post 400 articles when you first log in, your post count will be 400 but your number of two-week intervals will be one, so your activity is 14.
When you get back to the forum 14 days later and post (not just visit), you've got 2 two-week intervals with postings, so your activity will rise to 28.
If you stay off the forum for a year, the number of two-week intervals with posts from you obviously does not grow, so your activity is still 28.
When you start posting again, your activity will rise to 42 since now you have 3 two-week intervals with posts.

On the other hand, if you post one or two articles per week but without long interruptions, your activity will not be determined by the number of two-week intervals but by the total number of posts.
For example, if you post one article every week for a year, your activity will be 52 because that's your post count. You can then quickly raise activity to 26*14 = 364 if you post enough (=312) articles in the last week.

No, just have a look back at theymos' formula:
