Yeah probably. I just restocked HolyScott and am planning to finish manufacturing the batch this afternoon.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

I don't have any 1500W PSUs on hand right now, the price went up like 60% from my regular supplier but they'll let me know when they can get some in cheaper.

My DPS812 breakout board is advertised as DPS800 and DPS1200 (hence the abbreviated name) but in supporting the DPS1200 it works for the entire HP Common Slot family. I've tested it on 750W, 1200W and 1500W PSUs. So I don't know the part number offhand but if that's what you're running, my board will do it.

I have some 13.5TH S9s in hosting right now running off the HP-CS 1500W Platinum PSU, probably around half a dozen total. I had lit them up on the 1200W initially because they'd power every other S9 I'd ever seen (even if it was a bit of a stretch), but those 13.5TH batch guys are hungry, man. Yes a 1500W will handle them quite nicely even in a high ambient heat.

Thanks for the fast reply and info! The PSU's are the same common slot server power supplies you referred too, and I also have had a very hard time finding them for a reasonable price lately (luckily I finally have one for each miner, plus 1 on hand as a backup). Funny thing is, I recently ordered a fan that had (2) two 120mm fans fastened side-by-side on an older PSU, and the board for the PSU was made by you (has the same GekkoScience logo screened on it as your USB miners). The reason I mention this is because I purchased the majority of my HP 1500W PSU's as a kit from the same company I just purchased the fan from (I'm sure you know who). I am currently using the REV 7 breakout boards that came with the HP 1500W PSU kits, but just assumed you likely make better boards since I know and trust the caliber of your products. Since this batch of S9's require 1500 watts minimum, and I am seeing way more HW errors than on my other miners, I wasn't sure if there was a better option to power them.

There are many other HP power supplies available that can provide much more power (and cost less than the HP-CS 1500W), but would require some sort of solution in order to power the miner (something like the HP 2400W BLC7000 seen HERE). How difficult would it be to figure out a method to use them for mining and then manufacture it while you already have your hands full with so many other projects? Lastly, would I get any benefit from upgrading my HP-CS 1500W PSU's to your boards from the current x-adapter REV 7 boards I'm using if a new project is out of the question? Thanks again for your help and advice!  Wink

Just to curb some of the dozen-odd emails I get per week -

I am still technically over capacity. I do not forsee having any available space in the next few months. I do not host GPU rigs. I do not particularly like the L3+ either.

Hi Sidehack,

Do you have any breakout boards, kits including PSU and or cables available? I am interested in purchasing some with at least 1200w, preferably more.

Thank you.

Hello Sidehack,

I am looking for a power setup for Avalon 741s in a single rack. My initial calculation is showing about 8 shelves in a 42u rack that would work with the 22cm height 741s, if the max per shelf is 2x 741 miners (21cm width), would I be able to fit 2x DPS 1200s on the same shelf to power each of them?  Would you recommend this setup for 24x7x365 operation?

thanks.

hey sidehack, new chips coming soon from Halong Mining that might work for your projects?

"Apart from the DragonMint machines, Halong Mining will also be selling mining chips separately, in bulk"

No, I haven't worked with that supply in some years. I'd check with Optimizer.

Very interested in your 1500 watt plans, I will keep an eye open.
Although I have some of the 800/1200 psu so maybe buy a few break out boards for those

I could conjure up a few of those on short order. Not a lot, but I've got some on a shelf somewhere.

Which the 1500? or the ones for the dps-800/1200?
Also after some 3 foot cables

If it's a DPS-800 or an HP Common Slot, my board will work with it. I've tested them on HP-CS from 750W to 1500W.

Cables are no problem.

We'll be starting a fresh batch of Dell 750W boards next week, and might get some more DPS800/CommonSlot boards together.

Also we've got some factory-fresh 2Pacs (not seconds, regular sticks) available for immediate shipment.

I now have an official salesperson to be all polite and helpful, so please direct purchasing inquiries, via email, to laura at gekkoscience dot com.
