Andreas can give valueble inputs regarding this. Close all the loopholes with expert advice, to bring this thing to a end. Some countries have no clue about the technology and people will walk free on technicalities. These people did a lot of harm, and need to pay for that.

They object because they are worried andreas might pull the jedi mind tick he pulled on the canadian senate. Lol, yeah, he proved to have a talent of convincing people that the 'evil bitcoin' is actually not that evil. His voice is very hypnotic and he has the knowledge to back it up, andreas for president of bitcoin i say.

Andreas is summoned for Ulbrich's defense? I don't think it's a good idea. I am not certain Ulbrich is innocent or guilty, but Andreas working against the prosecution will put Andreas in an awkard position. He was summoned by the defense, but he's simply being asked to explain Bitcoin. So far the prosecution have been talking about "the dark web" and drugs and murder-for-hire and trying to make Ulbricht look guilty because he has lots of this "evil" Bitcoin currency. I guess they are going to ask Andreas about Bitcoin in general, it's legitimate uses and how early adopters, such as Ross, have made lots of money due to it's rapid increase in value. He will probably also explain how the Silk Road tumbler and MtGox hot wallet were very closely connected, with many withdrawals from MtGox being SR tainted coins and many SR withdrawals being tainted with MtGox's hot wallet. Also he will likely explain how 13% of all Bitcoin addresses are tainted with Silk Road coins and why simply finding tainted coins on his machine probably isn't evidence as it's likely most Bitcoin users have some small amount of SR tainted coins even if they have never visited SR. I think, that is a the key here. The Prosecution had their own "expert", who did an analyzes, that the SR coins are in Ross' wallet. I (and most certainly most people, who have some knowledge) doubted, that such an analyzes is significant, but I don't think, the jury would understand that, without someone who is widely accepted as an expert and a serious businessman telling them so.

If anyone can convince a jury of the truth, that the government framed Ross Ulricht, then it's Andreas Antonopoulos.

I have no worries about this. Andreas can hold his own, answer all their questions, remain objective. It will still be quite the courtroom dramatics though. Bring it on!

Well, it seems as though they decided against it. They are saying, he is no expert on the subject. If he is not the expert, who is? Gavin....... Oh well... compared to what they know about Bitcoin, he should be viewed as a expert. It might be that they just could not handle him in court. This should be a slap in the face of Canada. {They thought he was a expert, and invited him to talk about it in parliment}

Now that is interesting. His views and inputs will surely help in the defence case. No wonder the prosecutor objected to the proposal
