I don't know if you mean anime movies or series (people are mostly posting names of series here).
What I can recommend you are mostly classics like NGE, Trigun, Hellsing, Full Metal Panic. If you want to see a good anime movie check out Ghost In the Shell and Appleseed.

Many of this series has movies. No one would watch an anime movie if it don't have a series. |

List of a GODLY animes is so long that this poll on top of this thread is not even close to 0.001% of great animes out there. And the most popular ones are not exactly the best ones. I can only say that you will find every possible genre of anime. It does not matter if you like medieval knights or hardcore sci-fi animes have it all.

If you think Naruto is the best anime... you don't see anything yet. Naruto may be the one of the most popular animes and it is really good, don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't call it the best by any means. There are some ultramegaimba animes out there...some rare diamonds... much better than Naruto is. For starters go watch some movies from Studio Ghibli. |
