If I remember correctly, there is a settings on blockchain.info that allows you to redirect blockchain.info/wallets/(shortcut) to your complete wallet ID.

I don't think Bitcoin Core supports HD wallets but they support watch-only wallets. I might be wrong though.

I use blockchain wallet as my online wallet for instant transactions as it is easily accessible online and use  multibit when i want to keep it stored in my pc, but currently i prefer to use an online wallet that  gives me ease and convenience to pay my clients.

I got my first interaction with blockchain wallet on a job site and I was asked to register first in blockchain to insure I had an address , Then I had to register for a faucet , this is how I got my full interaction with bitcoin . Earlier I had heard about bitcoin from my facebook friend , but unfortunately I joined btc late . Also when I asked about the bitcoin but that guy was not able to say what bitcoin exactly is or I could have been with bitcoin earlier .
