I'm missing a ton of features and something all serious bitcoin-related sites should have/use.

1) the code is messy. Take a look at MVC - you really need to separate logic from code in this project.
Base it upon a framework to make it even better and easier to extend.

2) The database-example uses MyISAM - but you're using START TRANSACTION in the code - this will fail, won't it?
Either way it won't work due to lack of transactional support in MyISAM.

3) Do something about the design - it would fit if it was to a portfolio/photo site but not a serious exchange.

4) Caching? This system cannot handle almost no traffic due to the excessive use of JOIN's and stuff against mysql (for like... all pages)

5)

6) Profit.

We're aware of these problems are are building a new exchange to handle these deficiencies.

A friend of mine, Jason Khanlar (mizerydearia) invested several thousand into IxCoin. As did many others hoping to get onto the early adopter gravy train. I was working with Jason at the time in Poland and was skeptical of a challenger to bitcoin’s status- the momentum and investment is behind bitcoin.

On March 1, web hosting provide Linode’s servers were hacked, resulting in a theft of 3000 BTC from Slush and, most severely, 43000 BTC from Bitcoinica.

I think you are on to something. Tihan Seale has been known to use an address (or even live) in Colorado. There may be a The Riddler connection as well. And Maria is Cat Woman.
