So tried searching this but didn't find much. Does anyone know of a reliable hosted miner that I could use on any pool / coin I want?

My wife doesn't like miners so having one the house isn't ideal.

Any advice would be great.

Maybe you could try Mining Rig Rentals? (non-ref link here http://www.miningrigrentals.com)
Basically you rent other people's miner and you'll be able to choose your own pool, p2p. You can also let people rent your miner.

Haha thanks. Wife 1.0 might like Baby 0.1 to have its 1.0 father Smiley

Is that hosting through your Hashnest page? And I can point it to whatever / coin pool I want?

Cheers

Hashnest feature to point hashing power to other pool is under development, so it is not currently available and I can't promiss it will be out, but if you PM us, we can arrange you to either hosted in USA or China.  Electricity should be cheaper than your home power cost or very similar at most locations.

also, we can host it for you then, pointed to MRR website, too  Grin

Are you looking for leased hashrate, or somewhere to send an existing miner for hosting? I can host (we have about 15KW open right now), and with the included VPN remote access you can connect to it like it was on your local network. Any pool, any coin, whatever.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

thanks for the replies guys. I think the http://www.miningrigrentals.com is where I'll start. Just means I can keep dipping my toes without much of an outlay.

If you'd like to dig through this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934581.0 you can see if this guy is good or not. It is about the only other one I know of other than hashnest and miningrigrentals.

Just make sure the average hashrate is at least the advertised hashrate...a lot of rigs on there advertise higher than they really get, so you're paying for hash you're not going to receive.
