I stumbled upon www.bitodex.com website on 12 feb 2015 and immediately noticed its extraordinary offer of bitcoin at zero commission.

I quickly submitted the payment via paypal (payment submitted as money sent to family or friend thus cannot be opened for any dispute later) for the minimum amount of $50 and asked to wait 36 hours for verification.

I noticed later in my paypal transaction that the money had been received by Verners Veveris on 12 feb 2015 but even after 59 hours (as of now), I haven't received my bitcoin yet.

Question: is this a scam website?

Never heard of it, couldn't find any review either. Have you contact their support?
I'm sorry if you can't get your money back in the end. Next time you should find a review before making any transaction.

You can dispute. it really doesn't matter how you sent them.

But: If you gave them your address which is releated to your paypal account and they ship you sth (which can be a paper to proove they've sent your product, a cargo bill etc) you can't reverse it...

I have a basic rule that I tend to follow: If you need to ask "is it a scam?" then it is a scam.

Thanks everybody !

I had posted a ticket with the Contact Us Form webpage (email not displayed) just immediately after I checked the PayPal payment had been cleared by the recipient yesterday. Again, no response up to this very moment, nothing, nada.

I suppose I have been scammed, and yes, I did not go through the due diligence process of reviewing well enough www.bitodex.com prior to making any transaction with him. (licking my wound)

(tomorrow will try to post a complaint with PayPal, see if it can get thru.) (last time I checked was before I posted this question here: Paypal last page (after some nexts) declared "cannot be disputed". {Bitodex.com purposefully asked to send the money to their paypal address stated "Not as a Purchase", but as money sent to friend or family} Maybe there is some other non conventional way such as emailing Paypal to at least ask them to have a look with previous transactions of this address they recorded, so at least somebody after me would not just walk the same dead road down here.  the feeling is awful)

If it looks like scam, feels like scam, works like scam, then it must be a scam.

Today is 23 February 2015, and my 0.2278631 (as of the price of 12 February 2015) BTC simply NEVER ARRIVE. So, just a matter of confirmation, this www.bitodex.com is awfully a SCAM.

One thing you can look for too... they post prices like this 1000 $ <------ No American ever puts the dollar sign after....

Seems common to do in other countries for some reason.

Furthermore, this is the reply of PayPal re: my purchase dispute (I cannot dispute, so I sent them an email asking them to query this user):

Thank you for contacting PayPal Customer Support. My name is Nurdin and I am happy to assist you with your query.

Thanks for the information you sent regarding this seller, Verners Veveris.  As the item you brought is intangible, according to PayPal legal agreement, we are unable to investigate claims involving Virtual or Intangible items.

Though PayPal will not take any action on either account for your case at this time, we do keep track of buyer complaints and have noted your dissatisfaction in the seller's account. Sellers who consistently are subject to buyer complaints are investigated.

If you'd like more information please have a look at the Buyer Complaint Policy in our Legal Agreement. You can find specific information by clicking on their link at the bottom of any PayPal page.

I seriously feel like trying to wiggle my way through filing a "Unauthorized transaction" report.

I was just scammed by Bitin.co.
Made an order, sent the money and 2 days later the order status has not changed.

I found this thread when searching for Bitin.co reviews, which I should have done earlier.
I did not use paypal funds, I used my card via paypal, so I should be able to claim my money back via mastercard.

Interestingly Bitin.co and Bitodex.com are 2 of just 5 sites using the same paired cloudflare name servers.
http://www.crimeflare.com/cgi-bin/domlist/_32233-ashley-lex

The other sites using the same paired name servers are:
http://alats.org/
http://krakentech.co/
http://inexq.cc/

The address that Bitodex.com use is rented office space:
http://www.rfrspace.com/
http://www.corporatesuites.com/locations/madison-275.php

Likewise, Bitin.co uses an address that is a rented office:
http://www.regus.com/locations/office-space/california-san-francisco-soma

Interestingly enough, Bitin.co is not accredited with the BBB, but they are listed, allowing complaints and reviews to be lodged.

Why do you people let these scammers take your hard-earned BTC? Use only reputable providers. Take a look at my sig or try cex.io.

Why do you go for such sites when you already have a list of premium exchanges with loads of trades already getting done daily with the largest volume???
