It is not against the christian religion to charge interest. The only religion that I am aware of that shuns the paying/charging of interest is the Muslim religion

It is prohibited in Islam, Christianity and Judaism(source below). I forgot a religion's name and I haven't looked about other religions.

Prohibition in the Bible:

“Do not charge your brother interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest.” (Deuteronomy 23:19)

“Do not take interest of any kind  from him, but fear your God, so that your countryman may continue to live among you.” (Leviticus 25:36)

“If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest” (Exodus 22:25)

Still though, if you aren't doing it for interest, why are you doing it? You would only be losing money in the long term and I doubt you make profits with the tips.

If I made lots of btc, as an early adopter or massive miner, I would probably do something like loaning. It would be a massive pain to exchange more than a couple btc, and my bank would probably be coming to my house to question me if 10s of thousands of dollars of money from an exchange just came in. Also would raise some flags in terms of taxes
