It is getting to the point where the amount of things you cannot buy with bitcoins is easier to list than what you can buy with bitcoins.

Considering that using bitcoins you can buy anything online, you can buy gift cards for most places in the US with bitcoins, what can you not buy with bitcoins?

I will create a list and we can mark them off as we go through 2015.

Anything on Amazon.  http://www.purse.io
Anything else online. http://www.brawker.com http://coinsfer.com/
Bills. https://billpayforcoins.com/ https://bylls.com/ https://www.livingroomofsatoshi.com
Restaurants. http://www.gyft.com
Groceries. (Your grocery store gift card via http://www.brawker.com if available)
Gas. (Your gas card via http://www.brawker.com if available)
Income taxes.
Car dealerships or houses.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Great initiative. I wasn't aware of some of those services, pretty impressive! Are they available worldwide, or at least in Europe, or are they limited to U.S. only? I can imagine especially tax related payment services, but also bills in general, may be restricted to e.g. the Dollar or Euro zone?

Either way, I fully agree. Let's get that list down to zero by next year.

I'm in Europe and I use http://www.brawker.com and http://www.purse.io for my online purchases.

The Bill services are in the US, Canada and Australia...we need one in Europe and Asia now Smiley

I think the list of things we still cannot buy directly with bitcoins is countless. I can't buy most things in my country. I can't buy a car from a dealership. I can't buy anything from my local shop. I can't buy petrol. I can't buy medications from my pharmacy etc, though I think and do hope the number of things you cannot buy will shrink over time but it could be a very long wait before we can purchase everything we need with it.

Does your petrol station use a card that can be filled online? Or your pharmacy?

When I was looking for a car here in Germany I found a car I liked and e-mailed the dealer and said I would buy it today if he would take bitcoins for it. I did get a response but by then I had already decided on another car. I am sure if there are several choices and you tell the dealer you will only pay Bitcoin, they will do what they can to accept it.

But that's like saying they also accept apples because I could sell the apples to someone in exchange for a card which I can then use.

Well I'm sure some dealers would make the effort but most wont. It'd probably be easier to sell the coins myself and pay in cash.

If all you have are apples, that would be pretty useful.

Yes, that's how it begins. That's how the first pizza was paid for Bitcoin: he paid for someone to buy the pizza with dollars.

An economy based on endless growth is unsustainable.

I think registration is just an e-mail confirmation.

You put in a link to the product you want, then you give public details about what you are buying. You put your address and other info in the private area.

Then you choose the amount of discount you want. I got 10% discount on a 120 euro purchase, 5% on a quick 30 euro purchase I wanted (I was willing to get less of a discount because I needed it quick).

Then people bid on your purchase. You choose the bidder you like and send your bitcoins for the purchase to a multi sig address.

Once you get your product you release your coins and give a review of the buyer.

There is www.cashila.com to send money, make purchases or pay bills with Bitcoin in countries with EUR.

I'm the co founder. We haven't launched yet, but feel free to shoot PM for an account before we publicly launch.

And then you can even pay your Taxes... just input the Bank account number and wire Bitcoins. We do the exchange and settlement then:)

You are right, every beginning is very difficult.
It seems that now we can spend bitcoin only on some digital things, but in most cases bitcoin is useless.
This is the reason why many users look in bitcoin as form of investment.
Hopefully this will change when more ''big'' merchants and ''big'' names accept bitcoin in the future.

Sorry, but I don't think, this list is valid.
Buying giftcards or wait for someone to buy stuff for you and then pay him with Bitcoin is far away from the optimum.
I want to buy something spontaneous, easy to use and instant, not plan buying something days in advance.

You could probably buy anything if you're using external services to buy things. For things you can't fond third parties to use I'm sure there would be someone out there who would exchange the coins for the goods or just to cash so you can buy anything you want so I don't think they should count really. I'm hoping more and more merchants will just accept btc directly in the future though.

Well buying Product keys isn't listed also . most of the websites out there like Key4co.in are just selling Origin,Steam,Battle.net keys . and nothing else , it would be nice if there is a website to buy Softwares keys etc ...

Phone service. It seems such a natural fit. I know I can use a bill pay service for a fee, but I would like to directly pre-pay for my phone service.
