All your signed message proves is that you were not hacked. Candy does not appear to be someone with enough intelligence to be able to hack accounts. Additionally there were no previous allegations of him hacking accounts until recently.

and someone that able to check bitcoin address inter-connection probably will help you.

You easily could have given candy the private keys when you sold him your account, or you could have impersonated him in an effort to sell your account.

All your signed message proves is that you were not hacked. Candy does not appear to be someone with enough intelligence to be able to hack accounts. Additionally there were no previous allegations of him hacking accounts until recently.

Under the assumption that those affected by the recent events had weak passwords or at least passwords that have been used - and potentially compromised - elsewhere, I think it makes sense to pass those information to candy in order to "have fun" here. The first was an attempt to get to you. The second was an attempt to frame a stolen account on someone else. I reckon both are into gamlbing so my best guess would be a malicious gambling site that tries to profit off of bad sec habits.

This is of course all speculation, but I think its more likely that there is a malicious gambling site out there. It wouldnt be the first and maybe the operator is not even aware of it. For all we know, those passwords might be as old as heartbleed.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

@sho- the problem with that theory is that candy sent me a PM saying to give me a "second" before he would send me a PM at roughly 27 seconds past the hour and did not send the PM from the other account until roughly 10 minutes past the hour.

This is evidence that it is more likely that candy contacted the OP or the "main" account of the OP in order for them to confirm ownership of the account.

I would say that it is most likely that candy was working with the owner of both the OP and of convicted2008 to try to fake their account being hacked.

You can check both by looking at the left side of your posts, post counts aren't shown by default, you will have to go to Forum Profile Information[1] and check the 2nd last check-box.

The older the address the better yes, but I think we witnessed a new behaviour by hackers. Instead of immediately changing the password, which alarms the legit users, they keep the password unchanged and try to engage via a different account. When did you last check your "send PM" folder? I know I dont check it often, only sometimes when I am not sure if the message was send or not.

An admin might verify that the account was accessed from a different IP-Address, but thats no proof either as one could easily use Tor or other methods to hide the IP.

[1] e.g. keepass 2.x http://keepass.info/
AFAIK, theymos said that IPs are not logged during login last time i asked him. A hacker could potentially create a proxy which links him to the victims computer. If the IP is dynamic, you cannot prove that OP is hacked as IP changes very often.

About that : Try not to use line, use something that isn't catchy to the eye, for eg: ~iki. Signature may not always help you in recovering your account or claiming 'you are' 'you are'.

This is concerning. Maybe a security option can be enabled which warns users if a different IP has been used. This is a standard safety option used by email providers.
