I've tried to be patient with "just the techs".  The problem is that "just the techs" started more than 2 months ago telling us there will be an upgrade soon.  That has been quite some time now.  You are Bitmain.  You made this thread.  You have not told us anything here except "soon", "hopefully" and lots of other garbage responses (including: we're going on holiday, again!)

I used to think Bitmain was a rising star.  Looking at how you have treated customers this year, you are more of a shooting star - a quick, bright showing, but off in the distance, never to be seen again.  First the ever changing pricing tricks.  Now a second go around at an S2 upgrade, that has been more months without real details of any kind.

Do something.  Say something of substance about this upgrade.

Please remember, none of these items are pre-order.  Our sales team and the Marketing team will make the announcement when it is ready.  we are just the techs assisting you guys with the need.

Well, technically, I made this thread.

It's been over 2 months since the kit was showcased, and no real information has come out since.
Will Bitmain just release the S2 upgrade kit when then new wave of miners come out?
I wouldn't be surprised after the S4+ joke.

Indeed you did.  Though I have read the entire thread, over time, since its start.  I forgot who the originator was. My apologies about mispeaking on that point, of who made this thread.  Thanks for the correction.

Emailed support.... again.... the same comment "No news".  This gets old real quick.  First there's Hype about it and dates and the it just dwindles from there.  From a PR stand point wouldn't you think at least bi-weekly updates are in order?

That would be the thousand dollar question right now.  End of May.... June upon us, March was months ago when they were only a couple weeks away from release.  Remember them saying their in the testing stage of R&D back then.  Bullshitters are everywhere in Crypto World, didn't think Bitmain would take another backdoor to this kit again.   Tongue

It seems pretty conclusive that they will not release this after all, 3+ months of testing and not shipping yet?
Unless, they are using the kits themselves (for "testing" of course) and when someone releases something better, they'll ship these kits as new for a crazy inflated price.

I agree with your statement in full. They are "testing" kits I believe and they will not ship or properly announce them until someone offer better and efficient miner on the market. Things are like that because there is no competition yet.

I'm going to keep this thread near the top until we get an answer from Bitmain.  It's been 4 months with nothing more than "yeah, we're working on it".

Up we go!

Perhaps.  Maybe some community pressure will pop out some news... ?  Dunno.
