Depends on the system..

on the Atari 2600 Ms Pac-Man and Yars Revenge still hold up
on Intellivision - Lock 'n Chase, BurgerTime, AD&D are very good
NES - there's many just depends on your taste Smiley

Gotta love the ASCII. Eh, wouldn't buy Rogue Legacy for $15.

guess i can take the opportunity to recommend these hilarious 80ies/90ies PC games that had some cult following in germany and were/are very original and addictive, but were probably not widely known and underrated elsewhere:

You can still play some of the old gameboy games (Pokemon etc.) on your phone or tablet.

If you have an ios device go here: http://www.gba4iosapp.com/download/

If on android, just search up "gameboy emulator" and there will be a lot of results.

As for some of the best old school games, I would think Pokemon, or Final Fantasy.
