I am trying to understand what happened.

Correct me if I am wrong:

  • iGotSpots, a hero member,
  • took over a ECASH
  • (which he now calls "piece of shit"),
  • then he pimped it up
  • by putting it on his GorillaStake.com - where MMXIV, BALLS, and 10K live.
  • People start trusting this coin.
  • Then iGotSpots' feelings get hurt,
  • and he drops ECASH again (only a few days later actually),
  • so the price falls dramatically,
  • and a lot of people loose their freshly invested money.

Is that about right?

Then someone (who is invested enough to care) should warn the other three coins about this, right?

Or make iGotSpots to take back his decision, and keep on caring about ECASH.

It may be too late in game for that. It seems alot of trust has been lost.

In any business 99% of customers/investors will be very happy with where their investment is going, but they don't voice this to any great degree. 1% of customers/investors will not be happy, and they will shout and curse much much more than the 99% happy ones. If as the leader/dev of the business you are gunna throw a strop every time the 1% upset you then you are not a very good business man and make business decisions based on a few unhappy investors instead of the majority of happy ones.

So now yall come here to bitch.

Look, he took over the development of the coin at the community's request. He built according to the community's wants and needs. During all of this, the blockchain fell apart at block 8k. This forced a swap of coins on trex to the new blockchain, this was discussed in length here and everyone was aware of the upcoming swap. After the swap occured a few were upset, mainly the mining pools, because they didnt follow the thread nor did they send all of the coins to trex in preperation for the swap. Since the swap, Spots added ECash to Gorillastake and setup a dice gameDuring this time the majority of original community participants began to unload the coin. After most of them were gone, this gave the ones that do, and always complain a place to complain since the community had already for the most part bailed. Now all the complaints, start up. People start leaving neg trust following a certain miners lead, calling it a scam, and shit begins to hit the fan and spread. Spots did as he was asked and as it was voted for by the community. Would any of you stick around or even care at this point if you were him? I know i wouldnt. I hope you guys are all happy with the end product, because had spots not stepped in to do something you guys would have absolutely nothing. With that said, i too am out. Not because of Spots, but because you guys trashed him and his rep for doing exactly what was asked of him.

Still waiting, FrazzleNutz

Almost makes you feel sorry for spots doesn't it guys!?

I mean his intentions was always to do good wasn't they my cheer-leading friend. He never had in his mind that he was going to deceive the community by letting the total supply stake so he could steal 20% of the coin supply because he burned that at the earliest opportunity didn't he!?

No he dumped them on the same guys he was pretending to help because he is a sly little man who lies and schemes but luckily them days are coming to an end because after this his will not be trusted any more and rightfully so, stay clear of his coins guys and watch out for the angry one who jumps in after this post  Cheesy

The rest of you take care and i hope you never got hurt to much, i lost only a bitcoin but others i am sure lost more if someone on the trust system follows this he will get what he deserves this i am sure.

I think it needs to made clear, that iGotSpots never "took over" the coin.  He was asked (begged) to fix the broken source code, which he did, and made it pretty clear that would be his only involvement.

He fixed the code according to specifications set by the community in a vote, so what you have here is what the voters wanted.

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

I can confirm that many people BEGGED him to come and fix this coin. I was one of the beggers. He then said he wanted to burn the excess coins and was met with resistance. I was one of them that told him he should get a large chunk of the coin supply as he had worked so hard to fix this coin, as the orginal dev made a complete mess of the original coin. Bottom line: coin works perfect!

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

So is this coin dead then?
Is there no one willing to again take over the coin?
How long do you guys think this coin can survive?
Is there much maintenance needed to keep a coin running?

Too bad to see how this turned out. But yes, I believe Spots did what he could to fix this shit project that the original dev unveiled.

Is there a new one and someone willing to takeover?
