Sweet, that's awesome!
And ChuckBuck-
I really think that would be a great idea if RedBox accepted Bitcoin and it would Definitely get people talking! However, I'm not sure that would work unfortunately because RedBox needs something it can charge daily and late fees to. The only way I could see that working is if you sent like a $15 deposit of BTC up front (to cover the possibility of late fees & stolen discs) and after you turned it in, it would take your $15 - ($1 x days rented) and automatically send the rest of your deposit back to your sending address. I think that would be really cool (and very do-able) if the whole process was automated.
For those unfamiliar with RedBox, it stores a bunch of DVDs and BluRays to rent. You swipe your credit/debit card and get your movie, and it charges you approx. $1 for it, and everyday after is $1 a day as well. And since you've already swiped your credit card, it automatically charges you for those days or an unreturned disc.
My man, snarlpill! Long time no talk buddy.
Yes, I agree that for BTC based transactions, there would have to be a hold or reserve type amount in case of late fees for RedBox, that would get refunded automatically once the DVD is returned. I'm sure there are developers out there that could code that up wonderfully.
Back on topic, man I guess there's gonna be a whole load of Bitstoners out in Seattle! Hope they have a regular snack vending machine next to the Marijuana one.
P.S. - Loving the Cryptolator coins, Snarlpill. LOVING THEM, thanks once again!!!
