I have Xcoin-QT for Windows downloaded from mega.co.nz via http://x-coin.info/wallets/ - Xcoin-1.0.0.1.zip . I don't see where to put those address codes? (Tried Settings>Options>Network but that didn't seem to work.)

Then save as: %appdata%\Xcoin\Xcoin.conf

I'll try that then. Many thanks! Hmm... still not working. Anything else I can try? (Really should have made sure of the synching before transferring a bunch of XCO from my Bittrex account! )

Thanks Jim I'll try those.
I'm just a little concerned that I'd send a whole bunch of XCO to my wallet, which obviously isn't showing up as being received as the wallet has never synched. Will the wallet ID be the same when I upgrade? I don't want to lose my XCO as you can imagine.

Yes, you are fine don't worry. The wallet info is saved as a file in you %appdata% folder as wallet.dat . You can copy and paste it if you're worried.

Nope, nothing. The latest wallet was what I already had. Have fiddled with other options, reinstalled, deleted the block, made sure my firewall isn't blocking it, and nothing's worked so far. Has anyone else had any issues or am I special?! (BTW the only thing I haven't done yet is encrypt my wallet - does it expect me to do that before starting anything? I've only used one other type of crypto wallet and it wouldn't stake whilst encrypted so I assumed this would be the same.)

After you saved the xcoin.conf file, did you check that the file is not named xcoin.conf.txt? the extension must be .conf and nothing to do with .txt. go to your xcoin appdata folder and double check for that. Also make sure your firewall is not blocking the xcoin-qt.exe

Also made sure both Windows Firewall and AVG Firewall were set up to allow access for Xcoin-qt. Have a horrible feeling it's something really obvious but I just can't get it to work atm. In the roaming appdata folder I have: database (folder) txleveldb (folder) .lock 0Kb blk0001.dat 2,529KB db 0Kb debug 1,180Kb peers.dat 10Kb wallet.dat 88Kb Xcoin.conf 2Kb Does anything there look amiss?

I think somehow you got the wrong wallet, redownload from the link on this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=969896.msg10731866#msg10731866Delete everything on that appdata folder but xcoin.conf and wallet.dat - make sure you do not delete those two, specially the wallet.dat

Definitely looks like the same wallet... Hmm... but, I think I set the firewall access to the initial install file, not the one I'm using now. Will try that again. If nothing works will try another fresh install.
Rats, no... firewall isn't the problem.
Any plans for an update of the wallet software anytime soon? Maybe that'll help.

correct conf for XCOIN wallet ( start ,run %AppData% right click new text document ,paste configuration, save as xcoin.conf ALL FILES not text files.)Every time you change anything in Roaming wallet folder you have to turn off walet and turn on after aprox 10 sec.) server=1 listen=1 daemon=1 gen=0 rpcuser=yourname rpcpassword=yourpassword rpcport=anyport (but higher then port below) port=any port rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 addnode=178.33.228.14 addnode=178.63.99.132 addnode=45.50.32.228 addnode=82.211.31.107 addnode=46.255.168.83 addnode=101.165.65.58 addnode=108.61.10.90 addnode=173.65.97.61 addnode=50.81.18.43 addnode=xco.suprnova.cc Also if wallet stop sync ,just shot of and turn on for 10 sec. ( update wallet to the latest fork update OP )

Many thanks for posting your conf file. Unfortunately I'm still stuck - haven't yet had an active connection whatever I've done. EDIT - not entirely sure why, I've been looking through the Debug file and options, hadn't actually changed anything when I noticed the debug screen showed 5 connections. Went back to the main screen and sure enough, something's happening! Looking hopeful at last...

Thanks webprods, I really appreciate your help Though it all started working before I even needed to follow the steps in your last message. I don't know what changed... but suddenly it works!! I do have another slight problem now though I think I forgot to copy the correct wallet.dat into the Roaming folder (d'oh... I was distracted by multiple attempts to get it to sync), and I'm not seeing the transaction from Bittrex on 7th April. Bittrex support say they can't do anything since it's already classed as completed. I transferred a small amount which worked fine (and very quickly!) - was hoping that might trigger the old transfer into working but no joy. Will it just catch up sometime? Or has my stupidity resulted in me losing those XCO forever? EDIT - if I delete "blk0001.dat" and sync from the beginning again, would that work?

Tell us how many you were supposed to have if you can't get them to show check the block chain to double check. If not just post them amount I might have enough to cover some if not all. You better be using the faucet.
