Hi I have some questions about the swap that I failed to find the answer to. It looks like I lucked out and haven't missed the swap (I would have totally missed it if it happened 4 months ago). So my HTML is in my html wallet and not on any exchange. I have my wallet synced per instructions posted on steemit: https://steemit.com/html/@robinkooy71/swapping-guidelines-for-the-html-coin-2017-make-money-and-buy-now**EDIT** After further reading and observing it seems I wasn't fully sync'd. Now that I am fully sync'd everything is ready for the next step (create new wallet and send HTMLCOINS to exchange) Are we all still keeping personal wallets empty and filling exchanges with our coins? The instructions that are available to us are from months ago, and in the world of tech that is a long time ago. On the instructions it talks about using webform but there's no link. Is this because the swap isn't ready? I apologize if these questions have already been answered, I've been out of the bitcoin game for over a year and am just trying to catch up. Most of the people asking already have coins on the exchange. With all the forks and updates I've had a lot of work to do. Regardless it seems that even if I keep my funds in my wallet til the swap, I still have 60 days to do something, but if I send it to an exchange, then the process will be "easier" for me. |

If your holdings are in a local wallet you can swap with the self-swapping webform available later on 20th November. Don't panic, self swapping at 1:1 will be available for 60 days before the ratio reduces to 2:1 (days 61-90) and 3:1 (days 91-105), the swap offer closes on day 105. The new QT Wallet will be made available from the HTMLCOIN GIT repository on 20th November prior to the swap completes.

***Wallet v2.0.0.x Update and Required Upgrade***
Shortly after activating the network and opening up the source to mining, the HTMLCOIN devs discovered two small, non-critical bugs that would have an impact on the block generation time or cause the block rewards to function differently than planned in the spec. Because these were caught shortly after launch, we decided to freeze the GitHub and correct the bugs with an immediate-release wallet upgrade. That release is being compiled and tested now. No users were negatively affected by this, and the extent of the issue was both small enough, and caught early enough, that there was no appreciable impact to the coin economy. Any users who have coins on the exchanges or in the “old” HTML5 wallet (have not swapped yet) are not affected and don’t need to do anything. But, due to the necessary wallet upgrade, all users who downloaded or compiled their own v2.0.0.0 wallet will need to upgrade to the forthcoming release version, v2.0.0.x. The best practice for upgrading is to simply install the new wallet over the previous version. This update will not touch the wallet file, and the blockchain remains the same. Shortly after release, the previous version of the wallet will not be compatible and users of the previous version will no longer see an accurate representation of the blockchain. As the blockchain is a distributed ledger, no coins or addresses are at risk, but you will need to upgrade your wallet client in order to interact with the blockchain (send or view transactions) going forward. |

Team said Yobit will exchange coins, but Yobit answered that Yobit dont do swaps. So coins bought on yobit are dead coins because its impossible to withdraw them : none of exchangers or wallets accept old HTML5. We lost thousends of dollars!!! HTML team will be reported to internet crime website later today
