There is also only 2 nodes up 24/7/365 & that isn't the greatest thing for the chain, but the market has picked up & that should bring more nodes up from time to time. Once we get another block explorer up (CryptoID), which will bring more viewers to FIRE & hopefully build more wallets forging FIRE.

https://github.com/techcoincommunity/firecoin/releases < Personally I still run the 4.0 wallet .. the 4.0.1 seems a tad glitchy in my opinion Smiley

4.0.1 was just a few graphical improvements, with hopes of a professional splash screen update. There are many good graphics designers on this forum, but we didn't get a chance to offer a worthy bounty @ the time of leaving Bittrex & having not been on Yobit yet.

1. Get the FIRE-community account post up, thus being able to show images in the ANN & OP

2. Have a splash screen bounty (100@1% FIRE)

3. Get listed on another block explorer (CryptoID)

4. Keep watching the FIRE faucet (65 drips @ 0.01 FIRE on 3/22/16)

5. Fire up the Twitter account FIRE@FirecoinX15

Feels like FIRE is one of the sleeping giants!

Thanks and keep up the good work!

This is a community coin, the original Dev abandoned it & then many others have helped to keep the FIRE going (read the OP). Just talked to one of the community wallet coders & he's not able to help with the next updates, so we'll have to wait on the splash screen bounty. Someone has sent a PM about presstab.pw block explorer & might be willing to add that to FIRE if all goes well. It actually couldn't hurt to have CryptoID as well, but since someone made contact before contact was made with fairglu from CryptoID. Presstab it is, if they agree on it & all goes well.

   Thanks, wasn't able to make it for another few days & have been thinking about it. Having two 3rd party block explorers is a must, not just for the community & also for transparency in the chains. Still remember the very first ABE explorers & how little data they shown, but really like the development of the 3rd party improvements over the years  Cool

Great to see the community keeping the FIRE going, as the world would be a lot different without a little FIRE in it & bringing warmth or many useful tools to those who need them in the future.

   Only Forging or Staking as past builds, but I wouldn't recommend testing with mining a chain worth more than 0.00000001 sat & maybe learn before you risk anything. There are 1000's of chains to test with, but I would again recommend to "do your own research" & "never follow known or even unknown forum/chat users"  Wink

// 2 hours since last block & chain looks stalled, so really wouldn't recommend IT

Edit: Must have been a 5 hour overlay or delay, thinking that happens every few days for some reason or other & might be part of the codebase?

**Always keep watch of your wallet.dat file & don't let it get to big (1-3Mb swap), also sending bulk tx's might slow the chain & am still researching that as well. These are all still experiments, but Testing Crypto with something that is of Value isn't a good idea & that's why many have Billions for supply chains? Who knows really, but maybe others will voice / text their opinions...

can someone give me a step by step procedure on how to mine this coin?
sorry, coz i am only a newbie in mining.
thanks.

BitBlockPoS Started on Block 4000
BitBlockPoS Minimal Stake Age: 1 hour //15 Blocks
1% Annual PoS Interest
Max Coins > PoS: ~150,000
System Requirements:

can someone give me a step by step procedure on how to mine this coin?
sorry, coz i am only a newbie in mining.
thanks.

BitBlockPoS Started on Block 4000
BitBlockPoS Minimal Stake Age: 1 hour //15 Blocks
1% Annual PoS Interest
Max Coins > PoS: ~150,000
System Requirements:
149MB disk space | 70-130MB RAM/memory
(this will very as the chain grows)

//thanks for the idea of removing X15 )bitblock algo) from the header, bitblock PoS should suffice
//X15 (bitblock) was on (start of PoW) Date/Time   2014-06-28 04:24:53 _-_ Date/Time   2014-07-01 01:35:53

The research shows that the X15 PoW was only 3 days, then switched to PoS or BitBlockForging as of now.

[ANN][FIRE] FireCoin BTCitBTClockForging @ 1% APR | 98,139+ Supply | 150K limit
BTCitBTClockForging seems like a good header?

Forging FIRE has barely even began, as there is still 2 tx's per block & one day a reason to fill the other with Masters of the Forge (FIRE to the NODES online 24/7)?

   Been a little while since a full re-sync of the GUI, thought I'd test it one more time & wish thy had the skill to fix the freezes on blocks 4000, 4500, 5000  Wink I know what the fix would be, but just don't know how to work the Github well enough to be the code changer & or I could just try the git push.. If the code looks to work, maybe someone could compile & upload to Github? Not that it stops anything, you just have to restart firecoin GUI @ 4000, @ 4500, & @ 5000 when rebuilding the database  Wink

//Techcoin had the same errors on start, not sure what the code fix was on that & maybe a diff git with checkpoints before compiled to github?

Code:
I'm sure thy could easily update the code, but prefer a more qualified coder & thy only a BBcoder

static MapCheckpoints mapCheckpoints =
        boost::assign::map_list_of
        ( 0,      hashGenesisBlock )
        ( 33071, uint256("0xe6d6ca8628f0da5a2471175b4cac4706a5f56261558bfc66b943eeeef7e6f400"))
