Trolls will be trolls, Bitcoin will survive and thrive, people focus mainly on the price, the price is important but it is not all, more and more places are taking Bitcoins, Bitcoin adoption is growing rapidly while the price was falling.

I think the OP is right - in the sense that people prefer Comfortable and Convenient.

Crypto currency is more than just a "new way to do something on the internet", like Facebook and Amazon. It's a paradigm in itself, as new to the world as the internet was in 1997.

The exitement around Bitcoin is valid. Valid as Napster.

If bitcoin goes whole-world (meaning: the day your grandparents have wallets) it will be "i-Tuned".

Regulation will come. Just make your money before the suits ruin it.

The suits can't ruin it.  There's not one point of failure, it's not run by governments or private organizations, it's truly truly decentralized.

It's also transparent, since it's open source, so anyone can look at the code.  And if you'd like, improve upon or modify the code, if they submit the change proprosal and get a consensus with the maintainers of the code.

Government, banks, fed, wall street...none of these guys can "ruin" Bitcoin.  Proof is Russia and China banning it 65832 times...and yet we're still here unphased.

Not everyone who uses Bitcoin is fixated on the price. The price is really hard to determine as the markets suggest. Being stubborn about a certain price point is dellusional.

Bitcoin is a technology, it can't delude anyone. What you are talking about is people's expectations not being met, and those expectations come from a multitude of other reasons. Don't rely on others for your Bitcoin information. Don't rely on others for investing information. Everyone has their own agenda, and everyone ends up wrong. It will be proper to say that Bitcoin has deluded us when it stops functioning as supposed to for whatever reason, the price of each coin, and even the adoption has no baring on Bitcoin's goal, if it even has a goal.

The only reason for using dollars atm , is because its hard to find ( atleast where i live ) to find a store that sells anything for bitcoins. its kind of crazy that everyone havent gotten adopted to bitcoin yet. but i guess it takes time : l
True. "brick and mortar" stores are lagging behind and I do use dollars when transacting in real life. There are only a few places here that take BTC. Being a digital native it makes sense that bitcoin is more used online. In several years you might start seeing it in fast food and other places where credit cards barely work.
In order for bitcoin to succeed over the long term there needs to be more applications for people to use it in "real life" aka in brick and mortar stores. When dealing with people online there are much too many scam sites to reliably be able to use bitcoin without a very good chance of getting scammed.

I do think that the late 2013 bubble has caused a bit of euphoria among the people that use bitcoin, and many people who use bitcoin probably have unrealistic price expectations.

Reading what u wrote i see a man that made a bad trade, in hope it would make him rich overnight.
And all that hate u have isnt focused right, because bitcoin was never about the price, its code was out in the open just like it is now, nothing has changed to worse.
You are the one who made a mistake, not bitcoin nor us, its supporters and "idealists".
Sorry for your loss, just dont sell low, rebuy again at 800+ and make another thread about how bitcoin told you to do it.

cheers  Roll Eyes

All indicators show that btc is slowly rising, but if you want huge peaks you might have to wait a long while for it to go there.
You might want to ignore btc if it doesn't fulfill specific need for you at the moment.

Correct.

Currently Bitcoin is climbing, however it is taking quite a long while to reach some of the preferred prices.

If Bitcoin isn't what you're looking for, feel free to go try out other options. I'm fairly confident that no-one is forcing you to use Bitcoin right now.

I'm sure it'll be quite valuable again, it's just a waiting game right now though,

Yeah... people keep saying that after every fall, bitcoin bounces back. But when you zoom out a little bit, you see that there was one spike in late 2013, and bitcoin has been falling ever since, interupted by a few deadcat bounces... Not saying that its going to zero, but too many people look back at those price levels and think they're achievable again.

Or...
Possibly Bitcoin will grow as technology advances, therefore the price. And when the 21 millionth Bitcoin is made, people can only use faucets are buying, making one of the biggest Bitcoin incomes eliminated (Bitcoin mining)
This means bitcoins can be roughly over ~$2000 if you get what I mean

I can agree with op, but I want to add people will only realise the benefit of Bitcoin not by paying with it or sending money abroad (few people actually do it), but by trying to preserve their wealth in event of financial meltdown which will happen soon.
