I have a great idea how to separte newbies and user. Lets create test.

I have some tricky quistons:

1. Where is wallet.dat located (Windows).

2. What is real name of creator Bitcoin.

3. How to log into bitcoin account?

4. How much crypto keys your wallet.dat contains?

Please post your answers here.

1. Where is wallet.dat located (Windows).

I don't consider myself a newbie, but I don't use Windows and so I don't know where it is located (I believe it is somewhere in the Application Data mess, but IDK where exactly). Just to explain why some questions wouldn't work well for everyone Wink

This should be on this "newbie test" ha...

But nah, on a more serious note what for? Some people aren't super tech savvy and wouldn't even be able to get to the bitcoin folder since its hidden ( the one containing wallet.dat) and just because they don't know that doesn't mean they should not be allowed to chat in a bitcoin community!

Anyone and everyone should be allowed. Except scammers..oh and assholes like (DaT) Tongue

Noooo! Mod! You just ruined our test lol Smiley That was a question for newbies to pass the unofficial newbie test! You just gave away the answer! Now we can't successfully weed thru all the newbies on here who have zero knowledge of bitcoins.

Sadly and surprisingly, many people ask stupid questions all the time without doing what they should always do first when they have a question..goooogle!

I get what youre saying tho

Second answer is incorrect.
The name "Satoshi Nakamoto" is believed to be a pseudonym.
Also added couple of new questions

users/app data/roaming/bitcoin/wallet.dat

You have to make sure you have hidden folders/files unchecked in your folders options in order to find your app data folder.

Squiggly letters, written really fast, with a couple of dots for good measure.

3. How to log into bitcoin account?

4. How much crypto keys your wallet.dat contains?

Please post your answers here.

Okay, I'm baffled. If both of this questions were in place when I signed out here, I would still be a newbie.  Cry
