I think under some conditions chargeback is a desired feature.
For example in eBay normally that's a good thing when purchasing physical items.
If the seller never sends the merchandise then the payment can be charged back.

So in my opinion it would totally make sense for PayPal to allow funding with BTC and using that funds on eBay.

Paypal should accept BTC, PayPal is merely a facilitator of transactions, they don't take sides in currency.

And Bitcoin would benefit from the access to such liquidity.

Most important, PayPal is located in Silicon Valley and is the brainchild of visionary Elon Musk.

Bitcoin needs to replace Paypal, not be some type of "partner".

Probably bitcoin will make go PayPal bankrupt. I really don't think so but it's possible.
But saying BTC needs to replace PayPal is kind of saying US dollar needs to replace PayPal.

Bitcoin is a currency, PayPal is a processor, not really replaceable.

I'm not saying PayPal should be judge, just an intermediary as it is now for US$ transactions on eBay.
Of course law/judges are in a whole superior level, but you can't get a lawyer and start a trial for every package that doesn't arrive  Roll Eyes

If someone things he has been wronged by Paypal they can go to the judicial system in order to settle the matter.

Paypal just follows consumer protection laws.

Paypal and BTC cannot be partners. Paypal may accept BTC at some point, but you can't make a partnership with a decentralized network of computers.

Since Bitcoin is decentralized, they cannot partner up. But, PayPal could choose to accept BTC much like they accept the USD or CAD.

Obviously "partner" is a poor choose of word by OP. But it's clear he meant PayPal accepting bitcoin or working with it in any way.

OP Subject: Why PayPal and Bitcoin should partner up.

Picture in my mind: PayPal CEO picking up the phone and asking his secretary for bitcoin's phone number.

Not available in Ecuador. It works if I force the US version:

Why would Paypal not want to use btc. Btc is just like cash. No credit card companies to deal with and no credit card fees. PP will still get their cut and maybe a bigger cut. I don't know what or if it costs PP to deal with Visa and Mastercard.

Its also great for buyers and sellers who like the Paypal system and whatever security it offers.
