Post #72 in the thread.

ascensioncoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=984878.0

Heritage:

Problems:

NOTE: Max PoW supply is actually about 36,340,800 coins, making the premine amount actually about 0.6% of the PoW supply
** However, because of PoS running concurrently with PoW, this probably is closer to the ANN advertised amount of 12 million or so.

Notes:

good, genesis seed is news event
good, has checkpoint for premine
good, no undisclosed premine
good, has sync checkpoint server running

Watermarks: uint64_t, pos, drm-like

one of the few "perfect" coins I've reviewed in forever

As you can see, earlz did do a review of this coin. He has not as yet uploaded it to his github. Likely an oversight on his part, we have asked him to do so.

We see a lot of wild speculation. If you believe that we intend to pump this coin up you're mistaken. We intend to slowly grow the coin's value. If it's a pump and dump coin you're looking for, ASN may not be for you. We will release news about ASN this weekend. It is small news so you shouldn't expect it to be earth shattering.

This is on github now https://github.com/Earlz/coinreviews/blob/master/ascensioncoin.txt

I take the dev post as a good sign. Slow and stable development growth instead of hype and fluff pump and dump.

Be the whales. Beat the whales. Accumulate as much as possible and wait. I see very good things for this coin and its value soon.

Small update. Wallet re-styled, and a couple minor tweaks to the base version. We will be building on it in the coming weeks. This is NOT a mandatory update.

Looks good. I assume by the extra space in lower left part that 4 more wallet features are in the works?

Are you planning to keep this logo? Or will there be some kind of logo contest?

This logo seems to be done in 5 minutes and I think it is not good for the overall coin positioning.

It took quite a bit more than 5 minutes. The idea was to make a coin look like a real gold coin. We're not opposed to a log contest a bit down the road.

Sorry, I did not mean to offend.

But I really do know how to do this in 5 minutes :-) (I have some experience with graphic design)

I believe in long term success of this project and am slowly accumulating more coins.

But in my perception, the logo and the splash screen look "cheap" (sorry again) and that is not what I want for a long term investment.

I am offering 35,000 ASN bounty for logo design and supporting artwork:
* logo
* "asn accepted here"
* splashscreen for the wallet
* official twitter account background

Perhaps some more users would want to fund this as well.

I hope dev will reach out and promote the contest.

Thanks

Too bad, I have some idea. Just my version of logo. Smiley

I like this one 10 times more for example.

Anouncement is going to be a small one, so that won't trigger a price increase if you are al waiting for that
