Google. I was searching for digital currencies to use on my social network project (which is still under construction even a year later), stumbled upon RipplePay, scrunched my face up hard not knowing what that was all about, moved to the next link and fell in love.*

Although the next link was Japanese tentacle porn, I found out about the forums when it was forums.bitcoin.org and never looked back.

Found out about it a year ago and totally forgot about its existence until yesterday when I found out they were holding a bitcoin event near my house here in Madrid so i decided to go along. 6 hours later im absolutely hooked. Its fascinating and i have already made a small investment...

While designing e-commerce websites, I came across bitcoin a couple years ago and was not impressed. However, it kept coming up in online conversations requiring me to re-evaulate it. I knew of this forum about 1 year ago and did most of my research with this forum as a starting place. Now being 100% vested in BTC (not all in one basket of course) I find the forum essential for keeping abreast of what's going on.

I first saw a post about bitcoin on reddit in July 2010, grabbed 5.0 btc from the faucet and mined 3 blocks on my laptop cpu in 2 days.  After mostly ignoring bitcoin for a month, I started lurking the forums for a bit and registered in October.

Unfortunately, I totally missed out on anything Bitcoin until Jan 2012 when I heard of them watching a presentation by Cory Doctorow.  I feel like I'm pretty technical and well read technically, so I still get frustrated on how I missed this on 2010 and especially 2011....

I immediately started researching Bitcoins, since I have been using CPU/GPU power for distributed computing since SETI@Home was the only option in the late 1990s.

I found Bitcoin Talk pretty early on, but didn't register as a user for about a month.  I have just recently started getting interested in wanting to post and not just lurking...
