Report lots of posts with a decent accuracy and be a very active member of the community and you may get asked by the admins eventually.

As staff member you need to be a valued member, who really ads value to the community. Simply reporting posts and ranking up isn't enough, you really need to bring something to the table Don't underestimate the time you have to spend being a staff member

OP, from their perspective there is no reason for you to want the position. The only reason could be evil. Just saying.
Anyhow Hilarious pretty much said how it is. They may and may not ask you. You actually never know.

Report a lot of posts but not only that be active in the right time zones and generally be a helpful member of the forums and post regular

As long as you're an active community member and report posts you don't need to have a high trust score to become a mod. In fact, most moderators are hardly involved in the market. Just contribute to the community with constructive posts + topics and report posts. Read the forum rules so you have an idea of what to look out for when reporting posts.

So we can't tell you a definite answer, it depends on a lot of things which are obtainable, like reporting posts etc. But, it depends on theymos perception of you too.

Yes that's definitely correct. Theymos seems to pick moderators that have common sense, are always fair, and don't abuse their power. I can't say the same for all the other forums I've been on.
