Are you serious, 1Th at about 1W for over $600 is a good deal? You are well over double the going rate for that type of hash and effeciency

Not much love for Bitcrane around here... Don't own one but was looking at them and just decided to grab an S2 for only $300.

Nah, an S3 is super quiet and you can get 2 for around 150$ each and that X2 is 300$ and the power efficiency is WAYYY better and you could actually ROI. How is the 3S noise when combined? If I went with them I'd have 3 running together.

It's not bad it just bad on efficiency but electric isn't costly you may be close especially if BTC goes up and if you can underclock for better efficiency you'll be better off. Yeah, electric is fairly cheap where I am, but mostly mining as a hobby so won't ever have a huge farm op.

Don't forget to use them to heat your room in Winter, it will essentially be mining for heat and save you the electric cost of turning on your regular heater. Sadly its switching seasons. I have been getting into summer mode for mining. Lot's of taking temperature readings and adjusting.

Power consumption on those units make it not worthwhile to run if you pay for electricity.

And there won't be much, because you can clearly see what they had in mind when they designed these. A pretty desktop mining gadget that you'll have running your room. It looks nice with that etching and colours and is quiet with built in WC, sadly all these things increase the production cost.

Service-wise pretty good. Mine has already shipped so they are actually in-hand and ready to go.

The reason why its expensive is probably because its sleek looking, has a PSU, and its silent.
So good for apartment mining. An S5/SP20e isn't.

Yes it's obvious. The question is who is the target buyer? Some guy who wants to have a cool looking box warming up his living room? The main purpose of a mining equipment is not to look good or be silent, but to be efficient. 99,9% of miners will buy it to make money, not to have something to show their guests and talk about at parties.

They do look nice and are probably silent I get why some would buy them. I think it is obviously not going to make any profit, but you can help support the network. To me those are conversation pieces for us nerdy folks.

This is the first machine I saw when I first discovered miners. Then I fell down the rabbit hole. It does look great and has some good reviews, but it is a lil late in the game.
