I'm considering buying a Bitcoin and then making a treasure hunt for it. But for paid entries. Something small, like 0.02 BTC entry (It'll take me 50 entries to break even, more than that is my profit).

Is this allowed here? And is this the correct part of the forum?

Did pirates have to pay gold to serve on their crews?

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Sure, you will want to post in Games and Rounds https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0

Sure give it a go in 'games and rounds'. But most people will not trust such a game (depends how you structure it of course ). Too easy for the operator to do a wild goose chase collecting paid entries and then in the end being the 'winner' under a shill account.

Yes, you can.

As most of the above bitcointalkers said, it should be started in Games and Rounds sub board.

Also, you have to escrow the 1BTC if you want someone to play. (And 50 entries might be a little difficult to reach).

Escrow is a must, if him wants that his initiative will succeed and gain some attention from the users (because the past years there were a lot of scams, I don't want to say your initiative is a scam but the security is the first thing).
