Hello all,
first I have to apologize, my english is not the best.
I have the problem (well the biggest is that I'm new to this), that I had to save all my most important data due to an trojan...
- I saved the wallet.dat data (and all other wallet data (without ".dat")) - Synchronization was not completed yet - so my Bitcoins I transferred from online to my wallet where not in the wallet already
(did buy bitcoins, transferred some of them, "bamm" Virus/trojaner - don't know how the trojan did it to my pc..., this was within 1-2 hours after my first transaction to my (XP WIN) wallet)
- Now I have a new system running, without trojan ;-) - I tried to restore the wallet.dat ... but it didn't work (synchronization is still running... could that be the problem?) - The new Bitcoin wallet did not produce a ".dat" data, so I was not sure - where exactly to paste the old wallet.dat - so I tried it in different places where the ".dat" data could and (due to information from the www) should be
All this changed nothing...
I don'T want to loose those Bitcoins... :-(
Could it be, that they are lost, because I saved the wallet too early (without synchronization finished, and without showing up my bitcoins?)....?
Thank you all!
Perhaps someone can tell a beginner how the restore of the *.dat data is made in a proper way!
