Title: epay.info scam
Post by: jaystone777 on March 24, 2015, 08:57:54 AM
Hi, I opened an epay.info account this morning, ran through a bunch of faucets and got it to the cashout level. It was asking me to secure my account and click a link in a confirmation e-mail which they never sent. Then it locked me out of my account. Thinking that maybe it was a fluke, I opened another account with different BTC address and different e-mail, and it did the same thing again. Is this site just a scam??? I would advise against trusting these people. They basically stole about 16000 satosis from me in one day!!! >:(

I will tell that everything faucet related in bitcoin world is either huge waste of time, scam attempt of some sort or mix of both.
I would advise you if you want to earn bitcoin - stop using faucets. After all you are now angry over 16000 sathoshis, you know that is something
like $0.042? It is not worth your time completely.

you are wasting your time just for 16000 satoshi?
I know it is worth whatever you have got
Think positive, look for other ways to get bitcoin easily maybe following the signature campaign  ;)

To shed a little more light on the subject, I'm the owner/manager of an internet cafe and computer repair/upgrade business. I have a LOT of free time on the internet and surfing the faucet sites is just a diversion that I engage in while I'm waiting for software to load (if I don't have a good movie to watch). It just irks me that they locked my account TWICE and when I sent an email asking what the problem was they sent an automated email saying that they don't answer emails anymore and I should log into my account and send a ticket. WHAT?!?!?! That's kind of impossible since being locked out of my account is the problem. LOL!!! Yes, its a scam, and a very aggravating one. Don't travel down that road. Hehehehe.

ePay is a great site - very fast and accurate. Instead of opening new accounts, secure the one you have. If you can`t follow the system, you don`t really have a right to scream scam.

have you tried to contact their support system? because i had the same problem with my confirmation email but after contacting them , they solved it for me . I think you should try to fix your problem instead of unfairly criticizing them .

Its likely its got to be your IP address.. It might be that you're using a dynamic IP address and hit a IP that has a history of using the same site thus making it your doing multiple accounts

Dear Valued Customers

Funny how the official representatives of epay just typing a bunch of words that doesn't solve OP's problem ;D
Read the topic again dude, he got locked out of the account and demand an explanation why and how to resolve the problem ;)

@OP
Keep using that BTC talk ID you made until it become Full member rank (might take 3 months)
And join signature campaign, it worth more than faucets ;)

Hi All I just joined this site to reply to this post. I'm new to this bitcoin thing and only decided to try my hand at it after watching a video course on earning money through bitcoin {which I got for free on the net}. I should have done my homework and looked up e pay bitcoin scams before wasting my time collecting satoshi's then being locked out my account by e-pay a week later and ending up being angry over wasted time and about 23,000 satoshi's down the drain, I know its not much but what angered me was that my account completely disappeared without a trace and recovery didn't work and e-pay was no help at all. Damn, that E-pay scams you for that very little bit of coin is disgraceful. There's no way that I'm ever wasting my time on those faucets again.
Too much time invested for very little in return. { That's if they don't scam you before you get a return}.

Yes, that's true. These faucet sites pay very less for the time spent on there site but still new people who is entering into bitcoin will first try with faucet sites. After checking this epay site, it looks they are paying very less compared to other good sites. There are quite a few well reputed sites who pay much better rates than this epay to try.

Honestly, it was probably something in their software - and businesses running on satoshis generally don't have good support. I haven't heard too many bad things about ePay, so it might be just you.

Hehehehe.

I doubt that story because if you were actually making decent money of your own (even running a few businesses), you wouldn't be spending hours for a couple cents. It's simply not worth it.

The op said he has plenty of time while he was not working. So it is fun to earn from faucet.

This site is online for more than a year and don't think it is still beta. Anyway there payouts are very less compared to other faucet sites.

Total waste of time, I have an account sitting there that they just won't pay out on. Its only 0.01115308 BTC but its a pain that when/if they do answer a help ticket that actually just say sorry, wait till the next payout. So I do, and guess what, no payout.

what I know about epay.info it is a wallet and script for faucet. it has it's own faucets and users can earn from there.
back in past I also used epay for some days but saddly didn't reached the payout limit. but to be very honest these types of sites can easily turn to scam. and I think epay.info just turned on it.
better suggestion for you is just leave these faucets because they can't make you enough money. or move to faucetbox.com which is quite better then epay and have lots of faucets also..

Before i making lots of satoshi there but right now its a waste of time you will never reach the payout treashhold because of price increase of bitcoin the the rewards also decreases that turn into scam or you will never reach the treshold limit.

If you really were committed to your customers success, you would at the very least answer their emails for support immediately. You advertise a 24/7 friendly support service. Why do I not get any reply to my emails? Not answering emails is a sure sign for a scam.

epay.info is having a lot of defects. Once The payout entered an infinite loop. After the timer gone to zero, it restarted without the payout. I raised a ticket and it was fixed. Lately I had 12000 fatosi in my account, then the next day there were only 7000. I also raised a ticked to asked them why is this difference. They din't believed me. My advice, don't use this anymore. It's a waist of time and they are very unprofessional.

I thought that faucetbox had stopped working, at least that's what people were talking about a few months ago. Either way, both services make the user waste a lot of time, I think there are other possibilities to make a profit. For people living in third world countries, gains may be more significant, but from what i see it remains low relative to other methods.

Yes, I have received many payments from them too, but there are lot of appeals about stolen accounts, which is not the case with other micro payments systems, so I can tell that epay is very unsecure to use. Aslo, admin is only answering here. He is not replying to emails, but not all of epay users use this forum.

Hello,

Just to say that I got paid by epay.info. 3 times just a week ago. So it works. But it took like 2-3 days each time. And (most important I think), it wasn't for BTC. It was for Litecoin and Dash. I think for BTC it is really useless, you will be discouraged before reaching the withdrawal and maybe even never paid. But fore less known coins. Seems ok.
And no, I am not part of epay. info team or something... it is just to inform the community.

C'mon, you're bumping old thread without saying anything important. ePay.info is definitely not scam and users always getting paid. If someone didn't received payout, they have to contact ePay.info staff and they will solve issue. Sometimes their support is a bit slow, but there are no reason to call them as scam.

any update about epay?
i still cant join signature campaigns so im doing faucets and cpu mining.
i started an epay acc and wanna know if its a waste of time before i get enough satoshi to be mad about it.

thnx
What kind of update do you need? ePay.info is oldest micropayments service which is trusted and popular. It's safe to use, don't worry.

I agree with you epay.info is safe, trusted micro payments and have a good faucet site. I use it for almost a year and i never have a problem with it.
But now its took a 3 to 5 working days before the payment confirm but don't worry its safe.

I am the administrator of a faucet and ePay is stealing, I have several blocked IPs that it is impossible to access my web or server

But in the IPs that appear payments made by ePay in real time appear many of those IPs that are blocked (Something that is impossible)

ePay STEALS faucet managers, They do not charge commissions of any kind, then how do they think they earn profits? The answer is easy, they generate benefits by stealing

I have requested withdrawal of 0.00262511 BTC since April 19 2017. The countdown timer in the site under "Pending Withdrawals" keeps resetting when it reaches 0. Address is 3DP6UfQ2ERipvZEZfnZAAT1Kcrcem3Bnc7. I asked for help on Twitter (only contact I can see on site) but got no response, despite the fact that Epay.info keeps posting there. Don't know what to think, but I am loosing all hope on receiving my btc (which took A LOT OF TIME to earn)...

Edit: Received my payment, 0.00262511 BTC, from ePay.info on May 5, would like to thank ePay.info for that.

if it has come down to begging or shouting before one is preferentially paid, then a red flag is actually up and the site would fare better coming  off their high horses and address their issues. The business model for micropayment services  have provision  for profit making, yet not 1 nor 2 such sites have already gone under these few years, .

Because they are going to sell their website without paying those users and giving back the balance of faucet owners, you can view it on here's the thread of the sale https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1955169.0. And there are so many scam accusations against them so don't expect that they will give your doge and some altcoin there...

Yeah that's a good choice just to move on already, karma is always on to that, since this big time scammer wants and will do anything just to scam anyone.

Oh! thanks for the link. Didnt see this one though  that they are already selling their website and its really confirmed that they wont really pay up their investors for sure because they are already selling it. This should really be expose on public even more so that people wont continue on depositing on the site. How pathetic they are on not blocking the site regarding deposits. They will really ruin their reputation even more.

Are you sure about what you are saying? How you received dogecoins, if epay.info website doesn't exist anymore? I think that you are talking not about epay.info.

Everyone that I know is had pretty good luck with them. Even though it is a faucet. There are substantial delays, and substantial security measures in place to keep them from getting scammed. Basically by opening the second account for the same IP address you've already violated their terms and conditions so you don't have a right to either one of the payouts.

What are you talking about? epay.info was not faucet, it was micropayment processor.

If you would follow the directions and actually stayed with the terms and conditions that you agree to when signing up you wouldn't be having these problems. Have you two accounts from the same IP address using two different addresses for your wallet is a direct violation and that's probably why you're not getting paid.
