And is going without telling the price month graph on bittrex is in it's lowest right now.

Just that withdraw fee for MetalCoin is 10%... + 1% Pool fee, even with 40% staked amount annually, you would still have to put them there for 1/4 of a year, to even get out the withdraw fee for coins gained through staking... + whatever amount you got in there (the more you deposit, you longer you have to wait, to make up for the crazy withdraw fee). >_>

but as i said before you can mine with pos in the 100 coin for block period , as the wallet coin age,
more pos coin you will obtain , if this was not clear enough you are missing a 10 X mining
 opportunity .

just logged on coinwallet.co , from my 38000 deposited on 8 july i have now
39000 so over 3% in less than a month with continued mining
this is more like a 51% yearly , with less than 10 buck , withdraw says 10 %
thats is a bad move from coinwallet.co i didn't made any withdraw until now, i will try today and
 i will talk to them to change the enormous fee.

10% is real fee for withdraw I think it is pretty hight. I regret that there left my coins  :-\

Hi Mamamae, when you talk to coinwallet.co please make sure to point out to them that on the Fees page it actually doesn't show a % for withdrawal fees for METAL. That 10% was really surprising for me too, I thought they had waived withdrawal fees for some reason entirely.

  Not that I plan to withdraw soon, but the fact there's no number on their fees page is sort of false advertising there. Very misleading at the least. Watching my METAL stake like mad at coinwallet, I don't understand why they'd need such a high withdrawal fee, they should be makign a mint on pool fees. If they argue it's because of the value of the coin, please point out that NKT is worth way less but still has reasonable fees.

I'm trying to install on rokos so i can stake on my raspberry pi
as the linux link is dead for me i'm trying to compile it from the github sauce but cant get past the ./autogen.sh command
can anyone shed some light on what i'm doing wrong or a step by step guide on how to install?

This will open the Cryptocurrency wallet and start sync.

*For some Cryptocurrencies the initial sync might take some days, wallets are fully usable after being fully Synchronized.



b) Always remember to make constant backups of your wallets and save them in USB or external media.

Use your wallets in ROKOS to plug HW and mine, Send/Receive, Stake, Share,
become a full node and support your favorite Cryptocurrency network, develop new applications,
etc, the limit is only in your imagination.


Important Security Notice:
*) Remember to create a backup for your Wallets, you can use the wallets to create them and save in different folders on a USB device.
You should ALWAYS have a backup of your wallet, Raspberry Pi (https://www.raspberrypi.org) Hardware, Raspbian and ROKOS Software are under development hence not responsible for missuses, electrical or compatibility issues that might cause a loss of information. It is as secure as one's ability to take care for it, same as a computer, so always have a backup of your wallets on an external device.

*) Some people tend to recommend getting a 128Gb MicroSD HC (High speed) , at the same time it does work, I do not recommend this solution, as microSD cards tend to get corrupted by the number of overwrites, to ensure the best functionality and security you should use an external HDD/USB storage device to store the chains.


You can start testing and developing new integration with ROKOS and your favorite cryptocurrencies for your IoT projects.







(I did this on a Windows computer, and I dont know what tool to use for Mac to install the iso file Image burner, for this guide you will have to figure out that yourself, if you use Mac)

1. Download and install SD Formatter 4.0 (This is the tool to format the SD card) from:

(or find it yourself at: https://sdcard.org/downloads (https://sdcard.org/downloads))

2. Insert the MicroSD/MicroSDHC card into your PC/Mac. (You will probably need an MicroSD to SD adapter for this).

3. Start SD Formatter 4.0 and click the [Option] button. In there you change from "FORMAT TYPE: QUICK" to "FORMAT TYPE: (FULL)Erase", just leave the "FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT" in OFF and click the [OK] button so start the format. When the card is completely formatted click the [Exit] button to close SD Formatter.

4. Download and install Win32 Disk Imager (This is the iso file Image burner) from:
Windows: http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/latest/download

5. Download ROKOS Core (rokos5.img.zip) and unzip the ISO file (This is the awesome ROKOS Core "Operating System" that we are going to install on the SD card) from:

(or find it yourself at: http://rokos.space (http://rokos.space)

6. Start Win32 Disk Imager, press the "little blue folder" and select the "rokos5.img" file that you did extract. Make sure your SD card is selected in the list to the right and press the [Write] button. It will tell you that it can corrupt the SD card, just press [Yes] to continue the installation, when the installation to the SD card is done press the [Exit] button to close Win32 Disk Imager.

7. Now "Safely remove" your SD card from the computer.

8. Put the MicroSD/MicroSDHC card in your Raspberry Pi 2, and make sure you got an USB Keyboard, Monitor (via HDMI), and and Internet cable connected to the Raspberry Pi 2 before you connect the power cable to your Raspberry Pi 2.

2. Select:
(and press enter) press enter again on the <Ok> button.

3. Select:
(and press enter) press enter again on the <Ok> button. Type a new password (you will not see the letters) and press enter, type your new password again, and press enter. Then press the <Ok> button.

4. Select:

(Choose your timezone)

5. Press the "TAB" button on your keyboard two times to get to the <Finish> button, and press enter. Then choose <Yes> to restart your system.

6. Type:
(and press enter) your system will now start up and you are DONE!

Still searching a good one with pos mining with a good dev / history , theexchange are for now the only solution as webwalelt with the right security : bittrex , yobit and some other . still you wouldn't input the password or private key to send coin, and actually there are 2 server 1 is coindaddy (there are more but not publicly available as the 2 from counterwallet.io), me and you can build our own if you feel more secure this way it need a linux and a pc to compile and you could access it as the only user if you need , as nxt is doing you need a web interface even with their wallet . if i knew better how to use eth i would have used it but i don't feel to risk a DAO incident .

My main issue is the trustworthiness of 3rd party websites. Over the years I've seen countless trusted websites, web wallets, exchanges, etc close down and a lot of people lose their money with no way to get it back. To prevent this from ever happening to me I rarely use exchanges and if I do then my money is only with them temporarily.

For a sort of personal web wallet, this is something I am unable to do as I don't know how to build one and wouldn't be able to keep it secure.

ok no problem if you don't feel like trying it , but any operation with access to the coin on BTC and XCP asset
 is made offline with Armory using the private key and password , after rest only the transaction that can't be remade to steal coins , is like saying you want to rebuild the chain to get coins from someone else without touching his private key or accessing his wallet with his password.
 if you don't feel to create an address from the webwallet page offline , you can use a normal BTC address and you still can access your counterparty assets .
you just need to try or if you need i can do a youtube video so everybody can see how all this is done .
the server/node i was talking about never touch the access to your coin or the private key, but if you are afraid of MITM attacks or that you have a crypto malware in your pc you need to use more Armory and cold wallet than a webwallet for sure.
that fear i can understand and is prevented using armory system and an offline PC, i'm not asking to you to maintain the faucet if you don't feel like it but just to be an owner of Metalcoin from here onward and with this i mean it for GRINZ too.

i found a faucet that is giving xcp assets at least the most importants i will see how they work and contact them soon.

I'll give it a further in depth look but it doesn't really look too good right now. Armory requires a full download of the BTC blockchain and that is simply huge. I'm not entirely sure that any of my computers could handle a download of that size. Downloading the DOGE blockchain overheated my computer several times which caused the download to stop and have to be restarted again and it is only 15 GB in size compared to almost 78.5 GB which is what the current BTC blockchain is at.

It takes me roughly a week to sync to the DOGE wallet whenever it messes up so it would take at least a month and half for me to sync the BTC blockchain.

I know I keep coming up with excuse after excuse but these are all issues for me and if it is an issue for one person then it would be an issue for others as well. Especially those that don't have unlimited bandwidth. The developer I have working for me, for example, would never be able to use METAL because he only has 25 GB a month internet and it would literally cost him hundreds of dollars to download the blockchain to run Armory.

Another option would be to have two versions of METAL, similar to what RBIES is planning on doing. There will still be the current version of RBIES which will be supported and then there will be a token version similar to the new version of METAL. This will give people options to use it in case they run into the same problems I'm having.

Unfortunately, my system (cryptoguru.tk web engine) only supports wallets with standard RPC (like bitcoin). And I can not support explorer/faucet for this currency without a standard wallet.
Perhaps in the future something will change, but not before I gather enough money to buy a new server.

i will upload soon the BTC and possibly XCP blockchain (some weeks time my upload is still not fast enough) in little files, like 2 GB or so for file if you are interested Cryptodatabase , i mean after you decompress it you are ready to use no cpu at 200 % overheating just some weeks of updates and the thing is ready.

Grinz if funds are needed would be good to know if there is a crowdfunding system that you want to use , i will participate for sure.

Adam of LTBcoin / swapbot tecnology is doing some good things with xcp asset/coin , i read there is a way to build your own bot  on your own server still they are developing so it's unclear what can be done , but i'm pretty sure they are thinking to build a faucet like system.

This is directed to the Metal Devs and team, not sure if you remember me but I chatted with one of you (same moniker johnnyozone, from the original crypto pump group site) in the early days of the Metal coin and actually invested a nice little chunk.
